I don't think the costs will be passed to the members. I'm sure they'll work something out since the furnishings will eventually be used. Maybe they could even be recovered for use at BWV or VWL.

I'm glad they are rectifiying this but doesn't it seem like a very odd mistake? I don't understand how no one noticed that the furnishings were being ordered wrong and they didn't notice anything on inspection. Maybe they did make an error and wanted to see how it went over before they decided whether or not they could let it stay.

I guess DVC knows the members are always watching and making sure things are as promised. Glad to hear it's working out.

Sorry to be repetative, but I glazed over a little while scanning this thread. It will be only the dedicated two BRs that will be "corrected" to have 2 queens.......right? So it will be just like VWL.

BEACH CLUB VILLAS. You can be assured there is no additional cost to our

I just returned tonight from the BCV. Sorry if I'm repeating info, as I didn't read through all the posts, but we had a dedicated two bedroom, and it was located to the right of the foyer. Also, it did not have a kitchenette in that bedroom, and it did have one queen bed and a sleeper sofa.

I am soo tickled about this.... Wooo Hoooo! First and foremost I am happy for Terry.... I know this was a major bummer for you esp since your so heavily invested in BCV. We just have a measely 170 pts there, but we were also bummed....

One thing that bothers me about this statement... If they need to redo the wall sconces then this is more than a mistake of ordering too many couches... the whole interior of each dedcated was done wrong... meaning the interor decorators didnt take into consideration the two queens in the dedacated villas and set up the exsisting decor (sconces) to fit the one queen and the sofa bed.

DOes that make sense?

Still I am thrilled to see them put the two queens 'back'

This is great news. It shows that fighting back works. Congrats to everybody who called. I am curious how such an error occured. Maybe due to the fact the BCV opening date was pushed up several months so they rushed and didn't pay attention to the original plans.

I think DVD should eat the cost.

As to when they knew......they must have known at the latest early spring. I went on the DVC 10th Anniversary Cruise in early April and the advertising literature at that time showed the layout in the 2nd BR as the bed/sofa combo. I honestly think they would not have changed it if not for all the complaints from both buyers and the CMs.

Thank you Laura! and thank you everyone! Yes, this was a major bummer for us, we purchased with the knowledge that our son and daughter would both have a bed of their own to sleep in. So I am very happy about this change and appreciate everyones support very much! Hopefully I will acutally be able to get a dedicated 2 bedroom each time???? I always make our reservations at the the 11 month window so I am pretty sure I will be able to get the dedicated 2 bedroom each time (I will keep my fingers crossed). Thanks again everyone!
