Well, I am really disappointed to hear that one of the lucky people staying at the new BCV this week reported that their 2 bedroom layout was different from what the guides told us and what we were show in the model. I would like to try and get an idea as to how many actually have the door between the 2nd bedroom and LR in the foyer like we were told.

So, could you please post if your door to the 2nd bedroom was in the front of the room by the foyer or towards the back, by the sliding glass door like BWV and VWL. Also it would be great if you could let us know if this was a dedicated room or lock-off and the room number so we don't get repeat numbers. Thanks all!

Another question - if you have a dedicated 2 bedroom is there no kitchenette in the second bedroom? Extra sink instead like OKW's dedicated 2 bedrooms? The model was a lockoff, so of course the studio portion included the kitchenette.

I have a feeling the placement of the door has to do with whether the unit is a dedicated 2 bedroom or a lockoff...
What do you all think?

p.s. I think I learned how to put in a picture!!! Now how do I get it to be on all of my posts???

After re-reading a post on the AOL boards, I think that maybe the "dedicated" 2 bedroom is the one with the door by the slider and not the entrance.
Here is a quote from that post...

>>>>Our 2 bedroom dedicated has the
door to the second bedroom in
the living room area next to the TV.>>
What do you all think?

Our 2 bedroom dedicated has the
door to the second bedroom in
the living room area next to the TV.

Not all the dedicated 2 bedrooms have this configuration. In fact, those with this configuration are in the minority.

In our dedicated 2 bedroom, there is not a kitchenette in the second bedroom.

Stinson,

In your BCV dedicated 2 bedroom what is the bedding configuration in the second bedroom. Is it two queen beds or a queen bed and a pull- out sleeper sofa?

Dumbo

All BCV 2 bedroom villas have a queen bed and full-size sleeper sofa in the 2nd bedroom.

I was told that in the 2 bedroom dedicated rooms there would be two queen beds ( not a queen couch bed).

I think there is some confusion going around because the BCV's (as well as WLV's) offer 2 two bedroom configurations...

In the dedicated 2 bedroom, the second bedroom has two queen beds...

I am pretty sure (based on numerous times asking my guide) that all dedicated two bedrooms have 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom. What I am looking for in this post is how many of the two bedrooms, dedicated or lock-off have the door to the second bedroom in the back of LR close to the sliding glass doors?

Am I right in assuming that the dedicated 2 bedrooms at BCV have 2 queen beds? I was never told that, but I like it!!!
Have we come to any conclusion on which rooms have the door at the entry and which have it at the back by the slider?

The second bedroom of our dedicated 2 bedroom has a queen bed and full-size sleeper sofa.

As for the entry to the second bedroom, I like the arrangement we have with the door to the second bedroom next to the balcony sliders. This allows me to keep an eye on my kids while I am in the living room. Being on the 5th floor, I like to know when they go out to the balcony from the second bedroom. Also, there is a closet in the foyer that could not be there if the entry to the second bedroom was in the foyer.

Overall, I like the floor plan to our villa.

Stinson,

Thanks for this info. It appears then that all the 2 bedrooms at Beach Club Villas, whether a dedicated or lock-off, have a queen bed and a sleeper sofa in the second bedroom.

Well so much for what my guide told me. I guess since he knew that I wanted the room to have 2 queen beds, he told me that as long as I requested a dedicated 2 bedroom I would get 2 queen beds. I guess its another story of a salesman telling you what you want to hear.

I'm really confused, and a little agitated now. So many conflicting stories. I am calling my guide today (or Monday) to see just what the deal is here. Are there ANY units with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom? How many units DO have the door to the second bedroom in the entry? I know that this is really no "big" deal, but I hope DVC guides are not beginning to just tell us what we want to hear just to sell!!!!

I myself would prefer that a dedicated 2-bedroom have 2 beds rather than having a sleeper soaf. You don't need a sofa in a bedroom when there is one in the living room. I would prefer having ther more comfortable bed.

I don't remember where I got the idea, but I, too, thought that the 2-bedroom dedicated ones were having the 2 queens in the second bedroom.

with an awesome woman named Andrea who called BCV directly, and they have told her that NONE of the 2 bedrooms have 2 queen beds...
She is putting in my requests now for high floor, Epcot view, and that second bedroom door in the foyer! And get this...
when she pulled up my ressie, one of my requests was a "very quiet area", which I NEVER requested!!!!!! What's up with that?????

I just don't get it guys? What are the pros/cons of this door location into the 2nd bedroom? What do most prefer, just for future reference?

Jeff

dizfans... I liked the location of the door because it seemed like it had more room that way, what I am more upset about than that is the fact that I asked my guide on numerous ocassions if there were going to be 2 queen beds in the dedicated 2 bedrooms and he told me, yes there would be. I even asked him to find out the number of dedicated vs lock-offs so I would have an idea of my chance at reserveing one, he told me 78 dedicated and 74 locks-offs so I figured there would be a good chance I would be able to request and get a room with 2 queen beds. Now I am finding out that none of the 2 bedrooms have 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom. I just don't understand why you would need a sofa in the second bedroom of a dedicated when there is a couch in the Living Room! I feel as if my guide told me this information just to get me to purchase!
