Please rate these "thrill" rides -

If you don't want to be soaked for the rest of the day, don't forget your ponchos. It's possible to do the ride without getting soaked, but at least some of the people in each craft will get absolutely soaked.

Second that. If you are the "lucky" one who is facing directly backwards when you make the final drop, you will be wetter than you ever thought possible!

Kali is mild! :rotfl: My ds (12) won't do RNR :confused3, but loves Splash Mtn! :confused3 He also loves BTM!:banana:and Test Track!

From whI have heard and read tot is NOT all about the drops. there WAY more to it. my wife and I HATE drop rides but are going to do it cause it doesnt look that bad (looks VARY tame comapred to el condor at port aventura and those ones like at six flags parks that go so high, we love coasters just not drop rides) as far as drops and the inside looks AWSOME!

My strategy is that we're going to do whatever rides we feel are reasonable (either he's enjoyed them before, or we know that there are no drops, etc), but I'm going to let him know before going in that if he feels like he doesn't want to ride, he can take the "back out" way out and wait for us at the dump shop or ride exit (we'll look for the exit on our way in so he knows where it is). Of course, he'll be kind of anxious going by himself... surely, a CM will show him where to go, right? Anyway, hopefully, knowing that we won't MAKE him do any rides will - in and of itself - allay some of his anxiety so that he won't be a total mess when our turn is up.

Sounds like a good decision. (Just make sure when he gets out he knows where to meet up with you guys who ride).

Our family is pretty mild when it comes to thrill rides. DS (12) actually has anxiety about anything that might have drops.

We have avoided Kali River Rapids, Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Splash Mountain and Tower of Terror (naturally -- it is ALL ABOUT the drops). We've done Space Mountain and Everest, but the kids seemed to think they were "too much". We managed to "turn the corner" on BTMRR last trip, and it was a highlight.

So - relative to, say, BTMRR - how are the drops in Kali River and RnR?

Thanks,

Tracie

I don't consider Kali River Rapids a thrill ride. There are no drops. It's a little bouncy, but overall a mild but WET ride.

RnR has no big drops either, but it's fast and you do go upside down. Also it's dark. Personally I think it's a smoother ride than Space Mt.
