I understand that people are now weary of anyone posting personal stories and traumas but we should not outright accuse everyone of lying because in the end those people really telling the truth, such as Sonja, will end up getting hurt.

Here it is, guys.

This poster was also My Little Corner, saying her name was Laura and that she lived in Beverly Hills.

She was two different aliases who claimed to be teen mothers with infants, claiming her name was Steph and Gabby. I think one of them lived in Florida and one in Boston(?)

She was also Adia, Wendy, Brittny in Alabama, Jovanna, and several more. Looks like she was even a boy named Jesse.

She claimed to be every age from 11 years old to in 11th grade.

I think that the thing I'd like you all to really get is that this was a person that some of you thought you knew (you might have even known the same poster under different names), and that some of you trusted. But all of the words and stories were made up. There is no Eli or Gabby or Brittny or Steph or Laura.

Please, please take this unfortunate incident to heart and realize that we all need to be cautious of those we think we know online. This person appeared to be a normal, harmless teen, and some of you considered her a friend. She probably is harmless. But she was not who she pretended to be.

Just please be cautious. I care too much about each of you to think you could be hurt by your trust.

We don't normally do this, but I think this is a unique situation and that all of you who have offered sympathy and comfort here deserve to know, so I'm going to tell you.

The OP of this thread appears to be a fraud, and has posted here under several different aliases. There does not appear to be an accident involving anyone's dad. The OP has actually appeared under some other aliases on this very thread, offering condolences to herself. Over the past few months, she's registered a number of different names and spun a lot of other tall tales. But this one went way too far.

It makes me sad to think that some people crave attention so much that they might come here to take advantage of the emotions of other posters. I'm sorry that those of you who have offered support have been used this way by this person.

To take it so far as to actually make up a death in a bid for attention and sympathy is lower than low.

The OP and all of her aliases are banned.

My Little Corner,ugh, I was honestly exited for her upcoming NYU audition. We really related, with theatre and stuff. This stinks.

She would definitely be banned forever based on her actions and because she created multiple aliases all IP addresses she uses will be banned. In addition, webmasters and mods will look for similar writing and attitude for new members and research it further to ensure this person does not return to the DIS via public computers.

Has it occurred to any of you that for someone to have multiple alter personalities online that person must have some serious mental issues? IE schizophrenia, multiple personality disorders, etc.

I understand you're all feeling betrayed and lied to, but this person must have some SERIOUS PROBLEMS to do this. so instead of freaking out, just don't comment if you don't have anything helpful to say.

Not everyone on the internet is who they say they are. Its just a fact of being here. So be careful with your information, and just sit back and enjoy it. Theres no way to verify identities, so there is no reason to freak out about it. just be careful.

I think what is happening now is exactly what "hippinhopster, rumpledoodle, etc." wanted to happen. They want to tear us apart, and cause some trouble. We can let people like this do things like this and then everyone starts freaking out. Most of the problems have been solved, and if you suspect anyone you can just PM Webmaster Kathy.

IMHO she was a looser who may have had no friends offline and came to the Internet to be someone shes not where no one knows who she is so she can be anyone and thought she was never going to be caught i thought she was mental just someone who wanted to much attention

p.s we all hate her now its an obseesion my friend gave me the line but it fits perfectly
