Sorry, but since you can get a ADR reservation without the disclaimer, the disclaimer does mean you can have the possibility of this ocurring and being separated. Now, mind you Disney doesn't want to do this and will certainly accomodate as they can, but I'm sure it's a safeguard for those peak periods when it may become necessary to enforce this policy. I think with Thanksgiving week and Christmas week coming soon we will see how well this is enforced.
Also, Disney puts the disclaimer in red; so, I would take it seriously. Because people show up early, late or not at all this has not been such an issue yet, but the day will come when this policy I'm sure will affect someone.
I have a ressie for Teppan Edo with Candlelight Processional. I did it early on within my window of opportunity. I called on that one (can't do it on-line) and I wasn't told about the disclaimer. I re-called because of this thread to check all my phone ressies to check this out and to make sure about it. Well, this ressie had the disclaimer. I was upset and I couldn't change it and stay at Teppan Edo without the disclaimer. I'm hoping since it's normal to share a table there anyway (unless your party is 8) that I won't have an issue with this there.
I have a feeling that with
free dining being offered more this has become part of the protocol.
I wouldn't worry about it, but just be aware you're not totally safe with this kind of reservation.
