Please note that your party may be seated at more than one table"?

It's a general disclaimer. I've seen where parties of one are now getting this disclaimer. Tell me how they're going to seat a party of one at separate tables and I'll worry about it then.

what she said.
big thread about this some time back.
someone spazzing over this. freaking out.
for no reason.
relax.

I'm sure that you can work something out with the host/ess when your being sat. If your willing to wait the extra time for a table to be put together, I'm sure they'll accomodate.

This year I'm traveling with a party of 9...4 adults, and 5 college students, so luckily we can split up pretty easily, and we fully expect to.

Huh! I used the tip someone mentioned above and switched my reservation from 2 adults, 1 child to 3 adults, 1 child. Worked like a charm. The system must have blocked out two 2-tops for a party of 3, rather than "waste" one larger 4-top table. Once we became "4" people, it just booked the 4-top. I suppose those picky details *might* make a difference during peak season, if the restaurant is over-booked, but I'm sure it wouldn't matter under any other circumstances.

Larger parties are a whole other story, I imagine.

I disagree with Rusty Scupper. We've had this disclamer numerous times and I never paid much attention to it. WE've alwasy been sat together, except once - and we had a party of eleven. The staff even apologized and said they didn't have tables that large. Then we were seated at neighboring round tops.

Otherwise a few times we've been seated at two four tops that were pushed together, but I wouldn't count that as two seperate tables. Most restaurants do that all the time and don't even say anything about it.

Staff will try to put everyone in your party together.

A few dining locations may not have seats large enough for huge parties, but most places have areas with suare tables that can eb slightly modified as need fits.

Personally though, giventhe choice between two tables now or one table half an hour from now - I'll gladly take two tables now in most cases (Only if it was small kids who had to sit alone).

We were a party of 8, in June 09. An extremely busy time at the World. That message was on every dining reservation we made. We were there a week and not once did we have to split up for a meal.

Sorry, but since you can get a ADR reservation without the disclaimer, the disclaimer does mean you can have the possibility of this ocurring and being separated. Now, mind you Disney doesn't want to do this and will certainly accomodate as they can, but I'm sure it's a safeguard for those peak periods when it may become necessary to enforce this policy. I think with Thanksgiving week and Christmas week coming soon we will see how well this is enforced.

Also, Disney puts the disclaimer in red; so, I would take it seriously. Because people show up early, late or not at all this has not been such an issue yet, but the day will come when this policy I'm sure will affect someone.

I have a ressie for Teppan Edo with Candlelight Processional. I did it early on within my window of opportunity. I called on that one (can't do it on-line) and I wasn't told about the disclaimer. I re-called because of this thread to check all my phone ressies to check this out and to make sure about it. Well, this ressie had the disclaimer. I was upset and I couldn't change it and stay at Teppan Edo without the disclaimer. I'm hoping since it's normal to share a table there anyway (unless your party is 8) that I won't have an issue with this there.

I have a feeling that with free dining being offered more this has become part of the protocol.

I wouldn't worry about it, but just be aware you're not totally safe with this kind of reservation.

If you want a 100% guarantee then you'll have to find an alternative to your choice.
