Am I reading that correctly that by using Nuclear DNA that they have the DNA profile of Caylee's father?

I just asked DH (he has advanced degrees in BioChemistry) about the Nuclear DNA. He said that it doesn't necessarily mean the father provided a DNA sample - that the Nuclear DNA could be matched from a known sample from Caylee BUT that Caylee's Nuclear DNA contains both her Mother's DNA (Casey) and her Father's DNA so that by identifying Casey's DNA then they have the Father's DNA profile by process of elimination.

If Lee IS then father the Law Enforcement will know this because his DNA will match the other half of Caylee's Nuclear DNA.

Personally I don't think he is the father but this story just keeps getting weirder so I guess nothing is impossible.

True but since Casey has done nothing but lie how can anyone believe anything that comes out of her lying mouth. I think all of us care more about that precious child than anyone in her lying family. That's all any of them have done all these months. So sad

That is a very sweet thought - and not trying to be a debbie downer here, but releasing balloons is a horrible thing to do. Both for animals and for the environment. Maybe plant a tree instead?

those pictures just break my heart. it just was so unneccessary for Casey to do this, and I cannot even imagine doing anything to hurt a little baby. You know looking at those pictures that she trusted completely the person behind the camera, and that person could have been the one to kill her is just almost too much to bear. There are so many people in the world-even in Florida alone-who would've gladly taken that poor little girl.

Just reported on WFTV Lee has just hired an attorney!

I wonder why? Was he involved in the hiding of the body possibly? Will his fingerprints possibly be on things...or the other thing we are all speculating on now

What was the point of the Meter Reader press conference? Other than confirming his identity?

Next question.....Now that they have Caylee's remains, do you think they will attempt to identify her father in some way?

You did say balloons, not one balloon.

At the risk of sounding insensitive, it's a beautiful thought, but is not a good thing for the environment. It is actually illegal in many areas, for good reason. Balloons can endanger wild animals (and any children who try to pick up pieces of them). I don't know what the laws in the UK are, but the principle is the same.
