There is conflicting news coming from the different stations. Someone posted earlier that it was the body of a little girl. On Fox 35, they said the sex could not be determined at this time.

Fox 35 talked to the utility company and were told that the worker was digging for a pipeline to repair a fire hydrant.

George and Cindy have been told about the discovery. Their spokesperson is saying that until the remains are positively identified, they will not accept that it is Caylee.

What a surprise to turn on CNN and see that a little girls body has been found. I hate to admit it, but I actually have tears in my eyes. I dont even know this child and it is breaking my heart. i konw George and Cindy havent helped... but god bless them in this. And may Casey rot in hell.

A police spokesman on the scene would only confirm that they appear to have recovered human remains. He would not confirm the age or gender, and refused to even speculate that it could be Caylee's body.

The Channel 6 reporter said that Casey's friends told LE back in July or August that they used to hang out in that area with Casey, and that they thought that's where she would hide Caylee's body. Ironically, the reporter also said that when LE would gather before staging a "raid" on the Anthony's house for evidence or to arrest her, they would gather right in front of the spot where this body was found.

I just came home to turn this on and I will be somewhat happy (as bad as that sounds) once they confirm it is in fact Caylee. She deserves a proper burial and her extended family deserves closure. May little Caylee rest in peace this holiday season

I was wondering that too. I thought it was too early when they said they wouldn't seek it anyway in case her body showed up.

I honestly hope this is Caylee. She deserves a proper burial and her grandparents deserve closure. As for that so-called mother Casey... she had better be swiftly executed for this.

yes they can ask for the death penalty.

the forensic expert I saw said 2-3 days for DNA but in his opinion they likely have a good idea already if it is her or not. He said that given the legnth of time there would still be hair, not much, if any flesh but that since there was duct tape on the bag that would give away a lot because there would be fibers from the car trunk and finger prints.

The trace evidence will convict whoever is responsible. It's sad to think that if the perpetrator hadn't used the bag & duct tape, then they might have gotten off scott-free.

Tim Miller from Equisearch was just on FOX and said that the area was under water when they were searching and so they couldn't do a good search there.

I was out this morning shopping, but had been taping the pre-trial on court tv since 8 am. When I returned home, I turned on the TV expecting to find court info, and instead saw the announcement of a child's body found. Right away it looked more convincing than anything else we've seen thus far. Poor little thing. At least now she will receive a proper burial.

They are saying all sources are pointing to this being Caylee. I have said it before and I will say it again... burn in hell Casey. A trash bag with duct tape. Just threw her child away, literally.
I cant take my eyes off the news. I feel such relief and cant wait to watch NG tonight. i wonder if the Anthonys will still do their Dateline show tomorrow night.
