I've been following this story & really hope they get to the bottom of this. Unfortunately, I know chances are that Caylee is gone.

Anyone see tonights update? Apparently in one of Casey's recorded phone calls she told someone that Caylee is still alive & actually safe close to home.

What if by some miracle, Caylee is alive & well and found safe....what will happen then? Does she go home with mom, grandma...none of them seem very stable?

That makes more sense - sounds like something she'd say. I must've missed that part.

I would certainly hope not and I do not believe they would, they would most likely place her in protective custody at least temporarily.

Also the family attorny has asked for a gag order - which I've wondered why the heck they are broadcasting her(Casey) recorded phone conversations in jail -(the 911 tapes are confusing - the order they released them, what was said by the grandmother) but, I mean I understand and support that your conversations with visitors are recorded, but its an ONGOING investigation, why are they exposing this now?? now Casey is aware, and will clam up more?

Her parents were scheduled to have a video conference with Casey this morning. It didn't happen. Casey had been moved to the courthouse in preparation for a hearing this afternoon. The parents were not notified that she was being moved. Apparently, the procedure is to not notify anyone prior to the transport of a prisoner.

This afternoon, there will be hearing. The hearing was requested by Casey's attorney. He wants all future telephone call transcripts and the prior 911 calls to be withheld from the media. He says they are going to make it impossible for Casey to receive a fair trial due to the publicity. He also seems to be dragging his feet in setting up any meetings for Casey with the FBI.

IMHO, the lawyer is only interested in one thing. He wants to protect Casey. He doesn't want her to have any interviews where she might accidently incriminate herself. I suppose, from his point of view, he is doing what is best for his client. When asked by the media who would be paying for the lawyer, Casey's parents said that Casey would pay him. The reporter asked where Casey would get the money. The grandmother told him not to worry about it.

Of course, we all want the focus to remain on finding Caylee. That isn't the focus of Casey's attorney. I really don't know where Casey's focus is. It is really hard to tell from the small bits and pieces we've heard from the media. Of course, the media only gives us the most inflammatory statements. She did say she wanted to talk to the FBI. Her lawyer is blocking this. I have no idea what to think at this point and it sounds like it will get worse. If the judge grants the gag order on future calls, we will really be in the dark.

I don't know what to think of it though..I hope it will somehow help lead to finding the baby sooner (maybe it will bring about a lead somehow) but I am so sick of hearing that woman's lies. I can't help but watch though. I just want it to be over....

Did anyone else see it? The show hosts are a man and a woman. It has two initials. Maybe M&I or M&J I have never watched it before. If I track down a clip, I will post. You will all be amazed at how this grandmother comes off

It was just on the news that right around the time Caylee disappeared, a shed at the grandparents' house was broken into and 2 cans of gasoline were stolen. The grandparents said Casey has a history of stealing gas from there.

The police now want to know if she used that gasoline to destroy evidence.

My theory is that Casey is the one that stole the $50 worth of gas that her father George reported sometime around June 24th.

Apparently the Anthony's were out of town back in June when their backyard shed was broken into and the gas was stolen. This was also the same time that a neighbor down the street reported that the white car that Casey was driving and later found abandoned was backed into the driveway that day.
It was also the same time frame that Casey borrowed a neighbors shovel.
THEN several days if not at least 2 weeks-

I think that Casey finally came home and somehow told her parents that something had happened to the baby Caylee, she is heard on a phone call from the jail telling her brother something like Mom knows- and then trails off in one of the calls---I think that the father George being a former Detective knows the system and what needs to be done or how things should be done to just had confusion to the whole situation.

I think that Casey either purposely or maybe accidently killed that baby and her parents have faced it and have no choice now (in their eyes) but to help defend their daughter and keep her from going to jail.

I hope that when the truth does finally come out, that the Anthony family has to pay for all the costs to the city and all the overtime that these Sherrifs and police have dedicated to this one BIG LIE.

Casey and Cindy will no doubt get some big "book or movie deal" out of this whole thing is probably already running through Grandma Cindy's mind.

I have never seen the grandmother speak before, and now that I have, I think she needs to rot in jail right next to her daughter. Any question they posed that she couldn't answer (and good job from the interviewers not going easy on her )she just changed the subject - Then when they brought up the fact that her daughter is more concerend with people being more worried about her missing daughter than her, she just changed the subject to saying that it will be the medias fault if the baby isn't found
I don't know what to say about these people.... its just so very sad, very sad. I just keep thinking about the fact that my brother lost his son at age 16 and would give his own life to give him another day on this earth, and this person, this monster, just goes and kills her child because what, she wanted attention? Its just sick
