Yes, my kid's school schedule got changed and they are now in school when we were going to go. I wanted to rebook it for a month earlier and go at the beginning of Oct... but nooooooooo... dry dock.

So, we cancelled. It sucks.

When I canceled our cruise for this October and figured out I would rebook for next October during fall break that's when I also found out the ship was in dry dock . Sorry you had to cancel. Are you going to go to the Poly still???

Hehe...The ships usually drydock where I live so I get to see the ship everyday for a week or so! Can't get on it, but at least I can look at it and dream! I will feel for you next October when I drive by it. Well, and for me too as I have NO idea when I will ever be able to afford a cruise!

Nichole, the summer is flying by. I hope yours is going well. How was your trip to Jersey? I hope Thomas is still doing well.

That is too funny. Our trip to NJ was kind of aggravating and I'm glad to be home . Too much running and visting family and friends. Thomas had a few meltdowns because we were all so tired. We got to the beach for and hour and that's about it . When we got home the kids slept from 8 PM until 10:30 AM the next day. We are really looking forward to Disney, we need a real vacation. Are you still going in October? Thanks for asking about Thomas, he is doing great and goes for his Post OP next Tuesday. I hope you are all having a great summer!

Too funny, my DH asked me the other day about the DIS girls trip and said I can always use my Southwest credit for Orlando. Sounded good unitl I thought about my grumpy mom watching the kids while DH is at work Thurday through Saturday. That and I keep downgrading because deluxe isn't really in the budget for our October trip . Wish I were going with you all though and your ADR's look excellent . I'm looking forward to reading all about it though.

Darn dry dock! We aren't sure what we will do. Now that we aren't doing the cruise I am trying to get us down to WDW sooner but I'm not sure it's going to work out. Right now I am feeling like I want to hold onto as many of my dollars as possible too... this recession is getting a little scary.

I agree with you about the recession thing. That is why I didn't book Poly for this year I want to be sure I can easily afford my ttrip and not have spending money for the kids and all the extras and not have to use any credit cards. I'm not too thrilled with any of the moderates though as they have something about them I don't like. I love Poly and WL the best and wouldn't mind trying BC, YC, AKL or GF, lol.

Did ya miss me?! I've been poutin!LOL! With this dumb economy I don't feel like reading about everyone's wonderful 3 week trips in a deluxe resort. (I'm jealous like that). But when I saw that NICOLE AND TRACY made an appearance I just had to come back!!!! Nichole's back too? Good deal! Now we just need to stay focused on Disney talk!

I'm so sorry to hear about all the trip and cruise cancelling going on. Our December trip is on, but we may have to budget it down a bit. We're in negotiations.

I miss you all! We're all good and I'm in full swing planning our upcoming schoolyear. Been a busy summer w/ swim lessons, VBS, baseball, and life.

I've missed you! I had an extended hiatus myself and it was nice to be welcomed back so warmly!

This economy really sucks! We are doing alright but I just feel like it's time to pay closer attention to what we are buying just in case it gets worse, kwim? We didn't cancel our cruise because of that but I'll admit it did feel like weight lifted. Plus Tom actually said, "You know, we could go to Disney twice for the same amount of money." I love that man!

I'm glad to hear you are having a fun and busy summer! We are happy to be getting a summer.... if their schedule hadn't been switched we would've only had a week in between school years. This way we got a month and the kids have been in heaven!

So I FINALLY post and then our thread goes dead again! Hey Nicole! I really miss you!! One of us needs a trip report!

Well, I was just on Delta's website and I'm pretty sure my flight home on Sunday has been cancelled. It's not listed anymore so I'll call tommorrow. It's been a bad week. This just fits right in with the rest of the junk I'm dealin with.
