Please keep your arms, legs and antlers in the vehicle at all times. *2 UPDATES! 1/16

Thanks, I always just count!:rotfl: Yep, June 7th. Can we make them all at once with just a booked room or do we have to have a package booked? I've never just had a room so I don't know if the perks are the same.

I would think it would be fine. I've only ever heard "Disney Resort Guests", no mention of "packages only" being eligible. :confused3

I never knew of that website Sara - thanks! Makes it much easier. :)
We can book with just our room reservation. And as long as there is just one reservation the ADR's can be made for everyone. I don't mind doing the calling. Just have to figure out our numbers.

Sara, I forgot all about that website. I'm like you Monica, I count. Also at work we can start requesting time off at the 180 day mark, so I had it figured out from that. I start work at 7, so I would not be very helpful in making ADR's unless it's on a Thursday which is now my new day off (not this week though, I'm M-F). We should probably start nailing down what we want for sure and approx times.

Heather, the name of you TR and that you called your friend an "outsider" it just cracked me up. Not a term I use that often.

I can't believe you guys can count 180 days. I'm an accountant and can't do it (don't have enough fingers to go that high). Gotta use a cheat system of some sort.

Did we decide we were waiting on the party tickets? AP holders can get a discount on 2 each if they purchase them on the day of the event. Since Kimmy, Missa, Michelle and I have AP's, we could get the discounts on the day of. It's just a matter of whether everyone is comfortable waiting until then in case they sell out. Kimmy, our party expert, says it's never sold out.

Monica, I LOVE getting up at 4:00 am. But you might not want to risk leaving me in charge because I might make some last minute changes and book us at some of those adventurous places.

I read Delta is raising their rates 25-30% so Monica, you were smart to buy already. I'm kind of wishing I had.

I'm with you on the counting thing, Pakey. I work in accounting and I'm always using a cheat of some kind to do the 180 - it's too un-nerving not to! I get all bumfuzzled about whether or not to start on the day of or the day after, etc, etc, I like using the cheating way. :confused3

Well, I don't know about anyone else, and as much as I would love to save a few bucks, I am probably going to go ahead and buy my ticket ahead of time. I don't want to risk it - too much at stake and all!

Way to go Monica! Do you have a crystal ball or something? :cheer2: Insider information maybe? :woohoo: Hope it doesn't go too far up for you, Pakey. :scared:

If flights keep going up, that's just one more reason Sara will HAVE to drive...;)

Guess what I tried on today?! :sad2: I just can't do it! It's like I'm wearing boats!

And I heard that other airlines are going to start charging extra for window and aisle seats. I'm happy with my choice.

We need to all buy tickets around the same time. If Kimmy, Michelle and Pakey wait til that day and Sara buys hers early and they sell out, then Sara will be the only one going to the party!! I don't care either way. I'll wait til that day to save money because I've been to the party and don't care if we miss it. I will be sad to miss out on the Magic Kingdom, but I'm just happy to be relaxing at Disney.

So how much is the discount anyway? Maybe that will sway me one way or the other! If it's significant than I'm on board, if it's only a couple of bucks, I would rather have mine early. (I'm a Libra - I have to weigh all my options, don't ya know?)

Monica, did you try on the Alice Mary Jane ones, or just the big normal ones? Oh, wait...let me guess...you tried on the heels! :rotfl2:

So, according to Allears and TGM, these were the prices for 2007 tickets.

Advance Purchase Savings Price for select nights only (including taxes):
Adult (age 10+) $43.62
Child (age 3-9) $36.16

DVC or Passholder Advance Purchase Savings Price for select nights only (including taxes):
Adult (age 10+) $40.42 (a $3.20 difference)
Child (age 3-9) $32.97

(don't know what select nights means - they didn't specify)

Annual Passholders and DVC Discount Opportunities: Annual Passholders can save on tickets for themselves and up to three guests. DVC members can purchase tickets for themselves and up to five guests. These discounted tickets are $38.28 w/tax for adults and $29.76 w/tax for children, and there is limited availability.

Fine print details: This discount is only available for the parties on Nov 15 & 27, and Dec 11 & 18. Annual Passholders can buy tickets by calling the Disney Reservation Center at 407-560-PASS, or via the Annual Passholder website. DVC Members can purchase their tickets by calling DVC Member Services at 1-800-.... All tickets will be held at the Magic Kingdom "Will Call" (exterior Guest Relations windows on the right side as you face the turnstiles) and can only be picked up by showing an Annual Pass or a DVC Member ID.

The fine print part was for the 2007 parties - I don't know if the Dec 5, 2008 party will be one of these nights. Overall, I'm confused. This seems to be saying you can buy them ahead with the discount, and that DVC members (is Pakey our only one?) can get 5 tickets at the discounted price. :confused3 AP holders can get 3 at the discounted price.

TourGuide Kimmy, we need you. You're our only hope! (my best princess leia impersonation there ;) )

I tried on the flip flops. I don't like the thing between my toe, but I like the looks and can see how they are comfy.

I tried on the open toe sandal type and the regular ones. (Sorry, I don't know the names). They just look huge on me. They aren't super comfy at first either.

I forgot about the DVC discount. I used that last time we went to the Christmas party and did buy them in advance but I know it wasn't for the Friday night party; I think we went on a Tuesday that time. I'll go over to the DVC website and login and see what it says. I'm always confused on that website so I may find nothing.

Monica, I have to wear flip flops for awhile to get used to the toe thingie too. One year I went to WDW without practicing and got huge blisters the first day. So I've been trying to wear flip flops every day for an hour or so trying to get ready for May.

Sara, I have tried on the Mary Jane ones at the store and they were definitely more narrow than the regular ones. I didn't buy them because I was afraid that they would be too tight for long wears. But remember, I have serious Fred Flintstone feet. I'm sure a normal person would find them comfy.

I just went on the passholder website and the select dates aren't there yet but in the past they have never offered a discount for Friday parties. Unless you buy day of. I'm so neurotic that I like to have my ticket ahead of time too - but if we all wait then that will be ok.:thumbsup2

I have very wide feet too! But I've never worn the other ones, so I didn't notice. I did go up to the 9 though, so maybe that's why I didn't notice. The 8 fit, but I was scared that after a while it would be rubbing. I can't bring myself to buy the regular kind. :sad2: and I can't do flip-flops at all! Too much pressure between the toes!

Sara

Based on the fact that they have not offered the discount on Fridays in the past, I would say they probably won't offer it this year. I'm just not a far in advance planner, so I won't buy mine until I at least no there is no discount. I would say maybe November for me:rotfl2:

This is no help whatsoever sorry!

I logged into my DVC website and couldn't find anything for 2008 xmas party discounts. Only listed p&P parties that had available discounts.

I'm guessing it's too soon for 2008.

I think the choices we've made sound delicious!

For most of the meals we would have:
Michelle, Monica, Kimmy, Missa?, Sara, Heather?, Pakey, Tina? - who am I missing? That would be 8. Maybe by the time we can make our reservations we will know more of the ?'s - otherwise we can just make them for the largest number and always change it later. Anyone else want to be on the list?

For Japan we would have all of the above plus Kari and Molly - so 10, right? :cool1:

I feel like I'm missing someone - sorry if I am. :confused3

Well, Nichole(Kaysmommie) hasn't been over in awhile so I'm not sure about her. And Nicole (lovebuzzandwoody) seemed interested, but she's moving right now so didn't know last time she checked in. There's also LAM712 (Lisa). She doesn't post much, but we PM alot. She's interested in going, but is still trying to budget it in.

Do we need a deadline? What are the chances of Pop selling out that weekend? I guess we don't need a deadline. If you can come at the last minute great! Maybe make ADRs for 10, and it will probably be more like 6? Then we could say we need to know by Nov 1 to make our final changes?

That's right - I knew I had forgot about some people. I agree that we don't need a deadline - as long as someone can get a room they should come!

Do you think we should make ADR's for 10 for all the meals - including Japan? Maybe we'll know more before our window to calls opens up in June.

Have you thought any more about what you'd prefer to do on Sunday?
