I know you said no to cold meds and caffiene...did he drink any of those high Energy drinks? some of the girls on my daughters diving team used to drink a Red Bull before practice but after not eating all day and drinking one of those and then practice a few of the girls said they could feel thier hearts race....no more energy drinks were allowed. Keeping you in my prayers..keep us updated.

No on the energy drinks, and very little caffeine...

UPDATE: They cannot find a reason for the high heart rate, but it is down now. They said possible overexertion. We had a problem with that and his coach before. I am going to talk to the principal tomorrow. He does however have "inflamed muscles around the ribcage area" as my bf says. They put him on anti-inflammatory meds and sent him home. I am keeping his DR appt. tomorrow for the thyroid check and because I am not sure about the heart rate thing. His regular DR is an AMAZING man...so hoping he can put me more at ease I will not be home till late tomorrow afternoon from all this, so I will update then. TY TY TY for all your kind words and prayers!!

Costochondritis is inflamation of muscles around the ribcage. My DH had that a few years ago. His was caused by an infection we believe. All was well after a course of antibiotics. I hope you get some answers and that your ds is ok.
