Just found your thread so I thought I would say hello.

I hope your weather warms up soon so Trace can enjoy the pool. When the sun is shining my children think they can wear tank tops even if it is 40 degrees out! Having his two older sisters out of the house will probably be a tough adjustment for him but maybe harder for you since you will be out numbered by "men". It might be nice for him to have mom and dad all to himself. I'm glad your dates coincided with Star Wars weekend, it sounds like fun. Your pictures are wonderful, you are very talented. As for that Maderma stuff, it is expensive but does work well. I have the Target brand and I remember it being much cheaper then the name brand, unless they have raised the price. I think CVS might have their own brand of it too.

Hi...had to laugh as you talk about Trace wanting to get in the pool. We live in the Pacific Northwest so no pool talk around here. But this week we have had our first few real days of sunshine and even though it is a high of 55 my daughter is sure since it is sunny she should were a sundress and sandals. I think I saw you had posted you are about 50 days out from your trip...it will be here before you know it! Take Care!

FYI, since Trace is such an animal lover, look into the Wild Africa Trek at AK, we just went on it during our trip a couple of weeks ago and my DD Megan (11) LOVED IT!!! its a three hour tour, some walking, crossing rope bridges, ride through the savanna, small meal at a Boma on the savanna, photopass photos and CD are included with the price....PM me if you'd like more info, its another option if the backstage tour doesn't get approved!

He's been in the pool at the very least twice a day for about a week now. It's been getting up close to 90 for the last few days.

Yeah...about this Wild Africa Trek.... we watched the videos... not gonna happen.... having to walk across that bridge. He does not do well with heights and walking up/across things where he can see through to the ground.

If they can't get him approved for the Behind the Scenes tour, then we asked for the Pirates Fireworks Cruise.

We were chosen for the BigGive!!! We appreciate it so very much and are very honored.

We received our 1st Mickey Mail today...a bright red envelope. Trace just happened to check the mail today and came running in all smiles.

Inside was 3 envelopes for Trace, Katie and Kelsi

We put Katie's back until she comes home this weekend.

Inside were Disney gift cards!!

Thanks so much to The Birch Family (dis: mommy2mrb). Your generosity and kindness is much appreciated. Trace was ready to head to the nearest mall with a Disney Store...which is 100 miles away in Baton Rouge. LOL He will be stalking the mail lady now.

To bad Trace wouldn't feel comfortable on the Wild Africa Trek with the rope bridges....I wonder if they could get it approved to take the Wanyama Safari at the AK lodge, its only for AKL resort guests, but its worth a try for you to ask! that one is only on the safari's at the resort, you drive around in a small safari truck, the animals are so close...a giraffe came right up to the truck when we went....then you get a great dinner at Jiko afterwards, it also runs about 3 hours.

We live in the central part of the state...just south of Alexandria. Did you leave because of Katrina? We'd love to have you back.

Cool! We had booked a hotel room when we were "running" from Katrina because they (of course) didn't give us much notice. We ended up driving all the way to Little Rock because the hotel in Alexandria gave away our rooms! We did leave because of Katrina because our house got flooded, the AC pipe broke under the house, and a tree fell on the roof. Luckily we were renting, so we didn't have to worry about fixing the house. My mom still lives in Metairie, so we still visit. Not as often as I would like, but I would love to move back. My dh likes Austin, Tx too much! LOL. I love Trace's story, he is a very strong boy. Is he a big Star Wars fan too? My son wanted the Death Star too but I do not have the patience to undertake that yet! LOL
