This a hard post for me to write but I need to tell you all that Janice has decided to hang up her moderator boots.

I'm not going to apologise if this turns into a speech because I think Janice's departure warrants an acknowledgement of the help and time she has given the UK DIS and the people who've visited it over the last four years she has been here.

Jan joined me in moderating the UK DIS section in July 2000, but she had been with us a lot longer than that and has always been outstandingly helpful to anyone wanting information and very caring when anyone needed support - by the way, that kindness was and is genuine and comes from the heart.

I'll miss co-moderating with you SO much Janice, and thank you for being an amazingly good and true friend. (Well of course you still are but I mean here on the DIS )

I know that being a moderator can be a thankless task and how difficult it can be to please everyone all of the time.

Thank you so much Shirley for posting this thread - it has been a difficult decision for me to make as I have enjoyed being a moderator and part of the team, and especially working alongside you
