Oh, wow! I didn't get a chance to log-on yesterday. This morning, I'm merrily trawling my way through the Trip Planning posts when I come across Shirley's <b>Join me in wishing farewell to a good friend</b> thread. I just <i>knew</i> what it was going to be. I don't know how, but I knew.

Jan, you were the first person to touch me on these boards. You found me in the wilderness of the US boards back when we had our dedicated site, and you brought me to this wonderful place. You were my very first DIS friend and, although I've made many very good friends here since, you will always be special.

These boards, and the UK forums in particular, are unique. This is such a happy, friendly, safe place and, without any doubt, it is thanks to our very special group of mods. Thanks for being a part of that, Jan.
