Please help with this computer before it goes out the window!!!

Hello.....I'm having computer issues and Gateway won't help me because it's not a "technical issue" according to them.

I use AOL. I have the web opened, but the images only take up half the screen. The words are so small, I have to squint to read anything. I've gone into display and everything I know how to do, but my webpages are reduced and I can barely see any of the words.

There has to be something I can do to get the images to 100% percent short of hurling this thing into the snow outside!!

This is a new computer - about 3 months old and I'm losing hope that a Computer Fairy will come and make it right.

Please help!

The only thing I know is the 'view' at the top, go into there and look at the 'text' size.

Can you maximize the window? I know there are times that a new window doesn't open fully, I have to check the upper right hand corner of the screne. Does the middle box look like it has 2 or 1squares in it? If there is only 1 try to maximize the window. If this doesn't work you can always go to AOL teck support, hopefully they can help

turn off automatic image resizing in the browser options.

If your mouse has a wheel, try Ctrl and moving the mouse's wheel at the same time.

Similar to ErikdaRed, when you mouseover an image, after it loads, do you get a small resizing icon in the lower right corner of the image? If so, try clicking on it.
