we are a family and want to book a vacation package to disney world. First one person in our family just wants a hotel. But the rest want a whole vacation package including park tickets, and dining plan. We all want to be in the same room. Can you please guide me on how to book a vacation like this? Remember we are a family and ONE person in our family (still in the same room) wants just to hang out at the hotel no park ticket, no dining plan. Can you please help me?

You could book everyone (excluding the one who doesn't want tickets & DDP) with the package and then add the one person to the room at check in. This person will then get at a KTTW card for entry into the room, but will not be on the DDP and will be able to pay OOP for meals. One problem you may encounter, however, is if you plan on using DME. The one that is added at check in will not be able to use DME to the resort. He/she can use it back to the airport since they will be added to the room upon arrival, but would have to get other transportation to the resort. HTH :).

Well none of us need disney transportation to the hotel. Just need it from hotel back to airport. So do i just say that the person not having a park ticket is going into our room? or I have to tell in advance? Also would it be possible if that person could have a DDP with no park ticket though?

If no transportation is needed from the airport to the resort, then you could easily add that person at check in (as long as the person doesn't put you over the occupancy limit). There is no need to notify anyone ahead of time. Unless someone is an AP holder, a DVC member staying on points, or are renting DVC points, everyone must purchase a minimum 1 day base ticket in order to get the DDP (2 day base minimum for free dining). With that said, you can put everyone on the reservation with a 1 day base ticket and DDP and then upgrade everyone else's park tickets to however many days needed. The one person would be paying for a 1 day ticket to use this trip or on a future trip, but they would be able to get the DDP along with everyone else.
