We would really like to eat at Lecellier, but there is nothing on the adult menu that DS13 will eat. Will they let him order of kids menu. I don't mind to pay a higher price for the kids meal, but I don't want to pay $20.00+ for a meal that he will only pick at. TIA :confused3

Yes, he will be able to order off the children's menu.

I bet if you asked they would also be willing to prepare one of their steaks without the accompanying sauce if you think that would appeal to him.

From what I've read on the forums, they really go out of their way (at all the Disney restaurants) to please everyone. I'm sure they can throw something together for DS that he'll like. It's WDW after all, right? Magic happens there. :thumbsup2

I have a 16 1/2 and 18 year old and up til when they were 15 17 they ordered off the kids menu. To this day, they have still ordered off the kids menu when we go for lunch, the only thing they have ordered off the adult menu is the sirloin hamburger, but some times they aren't in the mood for that, and on 4 other occasions, the wait staff had no problem with them ordering off of the kids menu. They are very accomodating there.

Do you remember how much more they charged you for a kids meal, than it would have been had they been in the age range?

Every time they ordered off the kids menu, it came on the bill as the regular kids meal price. I've never been charged more just because they weren't in the given range. I think it just depends on the restaurant and staff. Maybe some enforce it, but my teens are JUST now venturing out into trying new things on menus. They have never been charged more for ordering off the kids menus.

just another happy lecellier parent chiming in...
my dd (11yo, but looks older) was able to order the filet mignon plain w/a side of kids' pasta (instead of risotto or mashed potatoes) and they "held" the veggies... she did have a salad for an appetizer (we were on dining plan) and a kids' dessert... she also got a soft drink w/the glow cube as part of the plan...
