I've seen here where some people had 11:00am flights, and made it in plenty of time, you should be O.K. with a 12:45 flight.

we decided not to take our chances on the 11am return flight
So we'll need to find somewhere to spend the day - dont think it will be difficult

we also decided to take a late flight and enjoy breakfest on the ship, and take our time getting to the airport. i here mco is a huge airport and there's much to do.

Thank you for your input.:D

when we went in august, i purposely turned around to look at the clock when we were on the escalators in the airport right off the bus to see what time it was so i could answer this question for my next cruise, it was 945 am that we got back to the airport.

We had an 11:05 flight. We were off the ship at 8:30 and at the airport by 9:30. We had plenty of time. DCL is so organized on the last day, it is a sinch to get off the boat and get your luggage. You will have no problem with your flight. Just remember, DCL gets everyone off the ship early. The next cruise starts boarding at 1:00, so the ship is cleared much before that time. So, it is not like there is anything to do on the ship that morning except breakfast, then off you go. I enjoyed the ealier flight because it eliminates you sitting in the airport and if there happens to be delays, you still get home at a decent time.

OK! Anyone want to explain how that FCC got in the middle of my word "morning"?

I would think that with the war going on - and it looks like it will continue to go on for some time - that you will need to allow more time for the ship to clear customs, you to clear customs while disembarking and and more time to clear security at the airport. I would not be pushing it at this time.

We returned (day 2 in Iraq) and were on a 12:45 SW flight. ALL baggage was being searched.

We were at the airport and in line by 9:45 and decided to inquire if there was still space on the 11:30 flight. Well, there was but for $40 and 1-1/2 hours difference, we decided to just keep our original flight, since we probably would have had a "C" boarding pass at that point!

Ordinarily I would say you would have plenty of time for the late morning flights...BUT our last cruise we had an emergency in Castaway and didn't leave there til midnight or so. Did not get back to Port Saturday til around 8:30 am and off the ship around 9:45-10:00 am. This also happened on the cruise after ours. Luckily we were not leaving that same day. For peace of mind, I would book a later flight. I would rather be sitting and waiting than rushing and stressing over catching a flight...esp now w/ the war.
