Sienna!
We picked her up today.
As soon as we got her in the car, we let her out of her carrier.
Very shortly after that, she curled up right next to my lap and stayed there for about 30 minutes...
...after which she decided *on* my lap was a better place to be. She stayed on my lap almost the remainder of the drive home, which was about a 3 hour drive (the breeder kindly met us half-way this time)
When we got her home, Skye was the first to greet her. Poor kitty acted like he was thinking "I'm being replaced!??" I made sure to reassure him over and over he wasn't being replaced, and then he went from being scared to just curious.
Blaze wasn't quite so friendly. Unlike our introduction between Blaze and Skye, when Blaze didn't utter a sound, he greeted her with growls fairly shortly into the introduction. So we're going to go slower with this introduction than we did the one with Blaze and Skye.
Skye and Blaze took turns reassuring each other.
We left Sienna in her carrier until we took her up to the "cat room". We were trying to make that room a sanctuary for all the kitties, but Blaze and Skye don't seem to spend much time in there. All the better for leaving Sienna in there, I guess. She found a toy right away and curled up with it.
We then left for dinner, and after we returned and went in the room to check on Sienna, Skye darted in before we could stop him.
But, he was very friendly with Sienna. No hissing, no posturing, no growling, just sniffing and nose-tapping. So we decided to see how things would play out.
(A closer view of Sienna and Skye becoming friends)
Blaze then slipped into the room and joined in the greeting.
Which he almost immediately followed by a hiss
These two aren't quite sure what to make of each other yet. But that's to be expected.
Sienna.
I tried playing with Sienna and Skye after Blaze ran from the room. These two got along well already.
Even though they're being pretty friendly right now, we're not going to leave them together unsupervised for a while.
*I* hadn't intended to let Sienna into the rest of the house for a few more days. DH had other ideas, though, and let her take a look around. This was just too good of a picture to pass up.
Anyway, that's Sienna.
