:confused3What is the best character breakfast at WDW?

You will get a lot of differing answers on this. In our experience, most of the food is the same at all of them, with a few exceptions of some items.

Our personal favorite is Crystal Palace for a number of reasons: 1) the puffed french toast, 2) made to order omelets, 3) the characters -- Love Pooh and Tigger, 4) being able to get into the Magic Kingdom early and having Main Street to yourself for great pictures.

We've also done Cape May Cafe and Chef Mickey's. We used to do the one at the Polynesian until they switched it from a "Minnie" breakfast to Stitch (who we can't stand) and they changed it from a buffet to family style.

Cape May Cafe is definitely number two and Chef Mickey's is a distant third in our books.

you looking for? Some people look for various characters. Some people are looking for the best food.

Some of our favorite are:

Crystal Palace breakfast and dinner - Pooh characters (my son has outgrown these - but I have not) good food and early enrty in MK is a plus

Chef Mickey's breakfast - just so so food but Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald are all there

Ohana - good food - my daughter didn't know the characters at a young age so we waited on this one

Cape May - quieter, good food - good character interaction

Tusker House - a key draw here is Daisy Duck - good food also.

There are others but those are generally the ones we recommend

I have to say Crystal Palace. Loved the made to order omelets and pancakes. The puffed french toast is awesome.

For our family is Tusker House but then we haven't tried CP (we usually go to CP for lunch and love it).

There are varying opinions on this but here is a list of the ones I've been to in order of preference.

Cape May Cafe (Beach Club) - Great food (the potatoes are my favorite). I find this to be the most laid back character breakfast I've been to and the characters seem to spend a lot of time with guests. I once had Goofy sit at my table for at least 15 minutes one day writing on our table cloth about various things. It was fun.

Crystal Palace (MK) - Very fun place to have breakfast and the french toast is delicious!! But it gets crowded, especially during peak breakfast hours.

O'hana's (Poly) - Food was good and I like that it is served family style so you can sit at your table instead of getting up for the buffet. The character interaction is fun.

Chef Mickey's (CR) - The food is okay, nothing special in my opinion and it doesn't have a "you have to try this" menu item for me like the others. It also gets loud but can be really fun for kids.

My least favorite is the 1900 Park Fare. I was not impressed with the food or the characters.

Depending on what you are looking for, 1900 Park Fare is lovely. Have done dinner with Cinderella and her family, and
are doing breakfast this trip. Mary Poppins and Alice are the main characters at this breakfast buffet. The restaurant is
in the Grand Floridian and is decorated accordingly (victorian).

If you want specific characters, choose the place that has the best line up for you. If you want good character buffet food, Crystal Palace gets my vote. :thumbsup2

Hello and thanks. Can you tell me if I have to have tickets to the park on a day that I choose one of its restaurants for breakfast. I was planning on doing the character breakfast on the day that we check out.

We love breakfast at 'Ohana ... like the idea of the food being served family style rather than the buffet. And we love Stitch. And for whatever reason, they have the best scrambled eggs!

We also enjoy the food at the Tusker House breakfast and it is cool to see Daisy and Donald. But it always seems so hectic there.

Yes, you would need a park ticket for any restaurant located within a park. Crystal Palace @ MK is very good (our favorite character breakfast), but you would need a ticket to gain admission into MK. Chef Mickey's @ The Contemporary, Ohana @ The Polynesian, Cape May Cafe @ Beach Club are all very good character breakfasts which you wouldn't have to worry about needing a park ticket for.

I totally agree with this. My husband and son love Stitch while I'm a big fan of Mickey. Plus the food has always been very, very good. I'm not a big breakfast fan, but I LOVE this breakfast. Especially, the fresh fruit! I also enjoy that it is served family style, so no chance of missing the characters. And one of my favorite ways to start a day while at the World is enjoying a cup of coffee while looking at Cinderella castle from this character meal.
