Please Help: Upgrading to an annual pass upon arrival...

Hello everyone!

I will be visiting Disney World in August 2014. We will be purchasing annual passes. I plan to purchase discounted tickets from undercover tourist and then upgrading at City Hall after we enter Magic Kingdom for the first time. This gives me a challenge. Please let me know if there is a solution, or if I should just plan to buy passes before we leave.


When will we receive our AP Magic Bands? Will they link our passes to the Magic Band that we received with our resort stay? Will we receive additional Magic Bands either that day or in the mail following our trip?

You need to have your AP in order to buy TiW.

Your AP will automatically link to your bands you have the non AP ticket linked to, no need to do anything. You probably will receive an AP band when you return from your trip, though it is the same as any other band, just with an AP slider.

I just did the same thing in early May. Your AP will be linked to your existing Disney acocunt and Magic Band(s). When I got home and logged into the MDE site, I was able to personalize my AP band (same color selection) and it came about a week later, with the 2014 Passholder slider.

I also received a WDWAP car magnet, which I didn't get when I was a passholder a couple years ago, although I saw them around at the time. I think the magnet was more exciting than the MB slider.
