Okay, We booked our Dec cruise with travel agent (Magical Journeys) now what?
We paid a deposit and are happy with the room asignment. Are we supposed to get some type of documention of this reservation besides the charge to our credit card? Or, does eveything come when you pay final payment. I have never worked with a TA before and don't know the steps. (I have saved all applicable emails)
Will the TA be on the lookout for a lower price (doubtful, but it is nice to dream)or do I need to keep on top of that? And will she adjust prices?Does anyone know if Magical Journeys is one of the companies that buys blocks of rooms and does not book directly through Disney and will this have an effect on future price deals? Sorry for all the questions, but thanks in advance for any help with these questions.

Can't help you with Magical Journeys questions as I have booked all my cruises through Dreams Unlimited. DU sets up a reservation confirmation showing deposit and amounts due.

Disney will send docs usually 2-6 weeks prior to the cruise.

We booked our cruise through Magical Journeys and the only thing we got after we gave our deposit was a confirmation letter.
Final payment is due 60 days prior to travel but you won't get documents until right before your cruise.

Also, they are on lookout for lower price (doubtful on cruise) but they were on the lookout last year for WDW and did adjust our price when we stayed at the Polynesian.

As far as blocking rooms..........we requested the room we're staying in so I don't think they block rooms but I could be wrong. You should ask them. We booked through Jean both times and were very happy.

Magical Journeys is a great Travel agency! I have used them on all our cruises and several trips to disney world. I would not choose another agency to go through. They do keep a tab on the prices...if it does drop, they will notify you of the drop and give you the better deal. No need to save your emails. They won't take advantage of you... ;)

Have fun on your cruise!

I knew you guys would be able to help me. I have enjoyed working with Magical Journeys, they have been very helpful, but was just curious about the procedure. I have read posts about TA's that buy blocks of rooms ahead of time which reduces the chances of them giving you a further discount down the road. It is nice to hear that people have gotten further discounts. I know it will probably be rare on this cruise (during Christmas break) but a girl can dream right? Does anyone know if Magical Journeys can provide you with a Disney reservation number to use on DCL website to make payments, add shipboard credits etc...?Once again Thanks for all your help.

I could not go to Disney website with our ressie #. I did try because I wanted to see ressie online but when you don't book directly thorugh disney, I don't think you can do that (I could be wrong though) I also called our TA and had her add the Romantic Escape at sea package because when I called DCL to add this pkg on myself, CM said I needed to do everything through our travel agent since I did not book directly through DCL.
If you have any questions about anything, email Magical Journeys....that's what I do:cool:
I have had no problems:D

Just wanted to agree with everyone else. We have used Magical Journeys before and they are great.
