I banked 100% of our 2006 points (April UY). We want to stay for ten days at our home resort (Boardwalk Villas) in October 2007. :goodvibes

Question 1 ~ Do I need to book on a day by day basis for each of the ten nights? (We would like to get a standard view 1BR and I realize it is during the F&W Fest) If we plan on checking in on 10/15/07 - then I should plan on calling MS on 11/15/06?

Question 2 ~ Do they automatically use the banked points first or will I have to remember to mention this? (We have 150 banked & will have 150 current points at that time)

Question 3 ~ Does DVC send a paper confirmation in the mail or do I keep track of our ressie online?

Any other tips for this nervous first timer? I know we are booking at a busy time of year for the Epcot area resorts and I don't want to screw it up!!

By the way, I don't think I received a book explaining all the banking, booking and other DVC procedures ( I learned all I know from you guys on the DIS ). Should it have come with my original DVC paperwork?

:sunny: Thanks for your patience & advice in advance! :goodvibes

I believe that MS uses the check out date for booking , so you should start calling 11/16 for a 10/15 check in. If you are set on getting a standard view 1 bdrm I would plan on calling daily. MS should automatically use banked points first, but it wouldn't hurt to confirm this. Yes, they mail out a confirmation leter. Tell them you are calling daily and what your last day will be and they will hold off on the confirmation until all your days are booked so that the ressies will be linked and will be listed together on one confirmation letter. Happy planning!!

do it day by day if you want standard. that's what we do

You should have received a New Member Handbook.

If you bought resale, I don't believe you'll get that. We bought our first contract resale and didn't get it. Then we did an add-on direct, and got it.
