My agent said that Disney released the new room only discount.

We are now booked at Coranda Springs Resort. (always wanted to stay there but can not afford to do so when we go for a weeks time)

now with this discount-- I can move to Contempory (garden wing for 193. more)

Or I can stay at Coronda and save 101.00

We are only in for a very short weekend. arriving at 4:30pm on saturday- eating breakfast and leaving on Monday morning.

one day in magic Kingdom- breakfast at chef mickeys. break right after the parade and back to the resort for a nap.

I am going over pros/cons for both. the biggest is no waiting for the bus to get to whereever we have to go. we can sleep in a tad later since we can roll outta bed into Chef Mickeys.

But then were do we go to eat counter service dinner and a counter service breakfast??

would you upgrade to the delux for 193. more??

I really like CSR and think it is a great resort for the cost, but for a one day, MK-centered trip, I would probably upgrade to CR (or more likely, Poly). CR is not my favorite deluxe in terms of theming, but if you are planning to eat at Chef Mickey's and spend the day at MK, it would be worth the convenience to me, especially if you also plan to take a resort break and only have one park day.

But if I am reading your OP correctly, it actually costs $294 more for the CR for two nights - is that right? You can save $101 by applying the new code to CSR or spend $193 more for CR?

For a short trip, time is more important to me than money. I wouldn't pay $150 more per night for a week's trip, but I might for two nights if you are only going to MK.

There is a counter service place at CR - I think it is called Contempo Cafe.

I would upgrade to the CR. We did a weekend trip there going only to the MK and it was perfect.

You can have counter service meals right at the resort at the Contempo Cafe or hop on the monorail and go to the Poly. Their counter service place (I think it's Captain Cook's) is my favorite! You can also go to GF, or WL for any meals.

I would upgrade. It sounds as if staying at CR will put you exactly where you need to be.

They have a counter service restaurant at CR. You could also take the monorail over to the Poly or GF for something a bit different or a boat to the WL.

I agree with the others to upgrade. Since you are only there for a short time and all of your time will be spent at MK, you can't beat the location of the CR :thumbsup2. Plus like you mentioned, since you're eating at Chef Mickey's, you can't get any more convenient than being a short walk away from the tower :goodvibes.

UPGRADE...for the convenience of jumping on the monorail and going to the MK or EPCOT...you won't regret it!! :thumbsup2

Oh mi gawd. I'm almost there.
Any other good points?

Giving up the pepper market
Can I get to beaches and cream from here?
Is it a counter service?

Another strong vote for CR.

Easy to get to Beaches & Cream from CR. Walk to MK, take the bus to YC/BC and you're there. Just make sure you get back on the bus to MK before the park closes. It is a table service restaurant.

ratz-- beached and cream will not work if its a table service- I need two counter services.
