I hope someone can point me in the right direction, because my DS(8) was just diagnosed with a sesame allergy and peanut allergy. The sesame was most severe (4+), but there is very little info about it on the internet that I've seen. What do I do next? What foods do I need to avoid now? He's never had a reaction, and I know he's been exposed often, because even though he doesn't personally eat sesame or peanut butter, the rest of us in the house do. I'm starting to feel panicky, and really lost here. Please help!:confused3

Big hugs and I send you warm welcome to the board.
For the sesame you would treat it like peanut or soy allergy. Read the various allergy boards and check this board's FAQs for links. Just substitute sesame for the allergen of the board. The peanut people have lots of tips.

Sesame is now one of the top 10 allergies. In Australia it is now in 4th place for allergens. It is on Canada's top 9 allergens.
