Hi all. We are going to WDW soon and I am looking for some info and I am stuck I cannot find it anywhere. My husband really wants to go and view the Shuttle Launch when we are down in WDW this time. However the tickets for the vister complex viewing are not on sale yet and I would not get them shipped out this close to us leaving since we are from Canada and that seems to take awhile. I was wondering if anyone has any info on off site viewing locations??? My hubby read about one but not much was written about it. I believe it was called Titusville. Does anyone know if this is a good location and if so how far ahead to you need to be there. ANY info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. :)

I went on a bus tour to the Kennedy Space Center to see a shuttle launch back in 2007 when we were down the.
I don't remember to bus tour we used.
However they scrapped the launch that day and we were stuck at the space center for the day.
We paid quite a bit for this and I did not feel we got our moneies worth.
I don't know about the one you mentioned, but would ask at the desk when you check in at WDW.

Thanks for your help Gav and Kats. I will forsure go check out the Shuttle thread! Thanks to you both!

This is where we always watch them from. Everyone I have sent to this place has loved the view of the launch that you get. It is also close to Dixie Crossroads which is a great place to have a meal.

Thank you so much. If you don't mind I only have a few more questions. Is there a place you walk out to watch it? Should we be bringing blankets or lawn chairs? Well since we are flying into orlando I guess the chairs are out of the question... or do you watch from your car. Also how many hours ahead should you arrive? So sorry I have no idea how this all works. :confused3

You could bring a blanket. It is right along the river so you look across and see the launchpad. You would need to get out of your car. Depending on the time of day of the launch we have arrived 1-3 hours ahead of time.

It is better than watching it from the Space Center because you can clearly see the launchpad. No cost to view from this location. Some of the parking lots fill out fast and you may need to pay to park but you are a short distance from this park. There is enough Space stuff to see at this park.

You will have a great time if you decide to view the launch from this park.

Thanks Kathy. I think this is where we will view from. The launch is just after 4 pm so I think we will keep the rest of the day open. I hear traffic can be backed up on shuttle launch days. Thanks to everyone for all the help. I appreciate it!

Thank you for all your help and great information everyone. Unfortunatly they pushed the launch date to Nov 16th and we leave WDW on the 15th. A little disappointed but at least we are not out any money. Once again thanks for all your replys. I sure did appreciate each and every one of them. :)
