Hi everyone! I am so obsessive and want to book our dates for POR (plus it will feel so much more real if I have it booked:teeth: ). Should I call now and book a room only ressie, then wait til package prices are released and call to change? Should I just wait til packages are released? Are there advantages either way? What about AAA discounts? If I later find that I can get a better deal through AAA, what do I do? (I feel like an idiot - thanks for bearing with me). Also, we didn't buy trip insurance last time but are considering it this time. Does it have to be added within a certain time frame? I know that there are places online cheaper than getting it direct from Disney. I'd love any advice on all of the above please :rotfl:

Last year I got a postcard rate (wish I could be so lucky again!!) so I booked directly though Disney. This other stuff is new to me. So thanks!

BTW if it matters, we plan to do 7 nights at POR with 2 adults, 3 kids, DDP and 8 day hoppers. Considering the water parks add on...

I called on Thursday and booked a standard room for Easter week 07. She told me to get my tickets now, because prices have always gone up. Usually June and again in jan. She told me if anything came out, I could apply it, and that included a package. You only need a one day ticket to receive any package deal. So I would buy the 4 day ticket, same price as the 6th day over at mousesavers.

I would maybe consider a down day for you guys. Hitting the parks everyday really wears everyone out. There is so many things to do besides the parks. Take your kids one day to Wilderness Lodge and watch a free movie at night and roast marsh mellows after. Swim and relax that day and sleep in and rejuvinate I would do it in the middle of the vacation.
