DH and I just booked a spur of the moment 2 night trip to WDW!!! I am stressing a little because I am a cumpulsive planner and usually plan a year in advance and make my ADR's 180 days in advance! Just the 2 of us are going and we leave in 2 weeks!! We will be staying at the CR Tower, MK view!:cool1: Since we are also going to WDW on Nov. 9th(with the kids) and already have all our ADR's for that time, I am having a hard time picking a place to eat for DH and I. We have a special dinner at Il Mulino planned for that trip and I booked all our favorites already.

Please help me and give me any suggestions on where to eat. It has to be at a resort and for dinner. I need 2 restaurants. I was going to give Kona Cafe another try, but the reviews recently don't seem good and we didn't have a good experience in April. I should add that we are not adventurous eaters and do not like fish, or anything exotic.

Will I have a hard time getting an ADR only 2 weeks out?

TIA!!!

The new place in Italy might be a good choice and shouldn't be all booked up.

I would try Capt'n Jacks it is located in Downtown Disney. I just returned from my trip on 9/25 and I thought it was one of the better or maybe even the best meal that I ate all week. It's not a fancy place but the food was excellent. I had the jumbo shrimp cocktail, twin lobster tails with red skinned mashed potatoes and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. I have ADR's for this place again for my trip in December. I would highly recommend it to anyone!!

We are leaving in 2 weeks too and I have been playing with my ADRs forever. THere are still times at Cape May dinner and breakfast, CP breakfast, Kona breakfast and dinner, Boma breakfast and dinner, and the CM told me there are still some openings at lots of resort restaurants.

THe popular places like CM, Le Cellier and CRT are booked but you should still be able to find some stuff open

Try Artist Point it really is not as exotic as it sounds. Whispering Canyon Cafe you could take the boat over to either one.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
Unfortunately some of those won't work. We don't eat fish and need to be in a resort restaurant.

We use to love Spoodles, but we ate there on our last trip and the menu has changed and we really didn't enjoy it enough to go back again. Same thing with Ohana.

Thanks for that info!

Maybe the night we arrive we will just eat somewhere at DtD? Any suggestions there?

Raglan Road is at DTD and it has a wide variety of entree's from steaks to pork. :)

My DH has been dying to try Raglan Road, thanks for the suggestion, I forgot about it!

GF cafe menu looks pretty good. We've eaten there and plan to revisit in 2 weeks. Our resort dining favorites are WCC, Kona (never had a bad meal there), Concourse (hit or miss). We have planned to check out Olivia's at OKW and Maya wasn't too bad. You can also try Yacht Club Gally--pretty simple food here and easy to get into.

We love Wolfgang Pucks Express, awesome food and great prices, the portions are huge too! We are going there for lunch on our arrival day.

HoB is another favorite. Killer jambalaya, caesar salad, rosemary cornbread and much more. Rainforest and Planet Hollywood remind me of a Fridays, Chilis, kind of place so we skip those most visits but the few times we have been there the food is always good.

Wolfgang Puck Express! I must be loosing my mind, I forgot about that too! We have eaten there a few times and it is great! Maybe we should do that on the day we arrive and just give Kona another try on the 14th. That night we are going to MNSSHP so it would be great to just eat at Kona then take the monorail to the MK.

We are eating at Kona on the 14th! Around 6:30 I think...see you there!

You can call and tell them where you will be and what time and they will search for what is aval. Hope that helps!
