I am doing a controlled assessment for statistics and am comparing data I have gathered in the UK to data I have gathered in the US. I would love if you could answer some questions I really need to complete my assessment!

1) What is your household income before tax- please choose either a, b, c or d.
a) $0- $48,000.
b) $48,000- $95,600
c) $95,600- $143,400
d) over $143,400

2) What is your family's favourite food?

3) How much per person do you spend on food per week?

4) What is the average price you pay where you live for:
- 2 pints of milk
- A regular sized bar of chocolate (branded- i.e. Hershey's or Cadbury's)
- Standard sized loaf of bread
- A 250gram pack of butter or equivilent

5) Following on from question 4, could you tell me what town/ city and state you live in. If you do not want to say your town then just the population would be great too.

I would be really grateful if you could answer these questions as fully as you can- and if you cannot answer one then please do answer the others and leave it out because I need as much data as possible to get a good grade!

Many thanks!

What is a "controlled assessment?" It sounds like something where you need accurate data, not just possibly-made-up answers from random, anonymous internet users.

It is work we do in the classroom - more like a project but it does get graded. I think the DIS is the best way to get the data, I cannot think of any other way to get it. :yay:

Not sure many posters, even anonymously want to post income. Lots of people never answer that one on any survey.

I would suggest you set your survey up on SurveyMonkey or a similar site and let people answer anonymously.

Have to admit that I thought the same thing as Celia, but I understand your dilemna so here goes. Please keep in mind that these are just guesses - not entirely out of the ballpark but not exact either. :)

Chili

We eat out a lot so I'm just going to make a wild guess and say $75. Probably not accurate though.

$1.95 - 2 pints of milk
79 cents - A regular sized bar of chocolate (branded- i.e. Hershey's or Cadbury's)
$1.99 - Standard sized loaf of brea
$1.69 for 8 oz. - 250gram pack of butter or equivilent

I live in a VERY rural area. The county population would be around 8,000 total.

Thanks so much for the answers so far! They have been so helpful! It's interesting seeing how much you love meat too! I guess chips (fries) are more popular here than meat sadly :)

Many thanks again for the contributions, they are being tallied as we speak!
