Hi, Fellow DISers-

This Dec will be our first family vacation to WDW.

So this evening, my DH and I were talking about Epcot and he said that couldn't wait to go on Mission Space. The more that we discussed it, it came out that the reason that he is so excited is because he can't wait to experience the "Anti-Gravity Room."

I told him that the only time you experienced weightlessness was during a brief period in the capsule, not in some anti-gravity room.

He was so positive that Mission Space has a room like the Astronaut Camp in Alabama that he bet me $100 Disney Dollars that I was wrong. In fact, we looked up the Mission Space website and he couldn't find anything on it there either -- even though he just KNOWS  that he's read about it on there before.

Like taking candy from a baby... ::yes::

If anyone would know, I knew it would be you guys! Help me win, won't you?

Thanks,
Sheila

i asked my husband about this and he said that there is no anti-gravity room on mission space. you are correct in that is only in a capusule. he said to collect the 100 disney dollars and have fun shopping. :earboy2:

Get ready to go shopping!! You do feel weightless for just a split second during the actual ride, but there's no "anti-gravity room". Although it would be fun... :earboy2:

He must be mixing it up with the anti gravity area they have at Kennedy Space Center.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I never win! Ahhhh, it feels gooooood!

I was standing in line, the one that “snakes” around the big Red Ball, A CM handed me a small plastic card that read “If you REALLY want to experience realistic space living, walk through the door positioned to the left of the rotating space station”. I showed my DW and we asked each other why no one else received one of these. We decided to wait and see what would happen next. When we finally made it to the inside Q area, it was pretty dark. That’s when I noticed my little plastic card was glowing; I realized it was from that glow you get from a black light reflecting off of a white object. About that time a different CM approached us and said to follow him. My wife and I looked at each other and said let’s go. He un-hinged a part of the Q-rail and started leading us toward the BIG spinning space station display. As we approached it he said for us to duck down and watch our heads and to follow the blue lights to the door on our left. ( It was SOOOOOOOOO cool being so close to the “space station”.) We made it to a door and it opened when we stepped on a small square black mat. A cold burst of air hit us in the face as another CM pulled us in. The door closed behind us and the room was dark. Then the floor began to vibrate, the lights came on and we begin to lift in the air. Just a few feet at first then I’d say around 6-7 feet off the ground. IT WAS THE COOLEST FEELING IN THE WORLD….!!!! ……then I woke up in my same ole bedroom at home and had breakfast………….. Kasmir, make him pay you the $100 and then take him out to dinner at Victoria and Albert’s….:)

Well now come on you got to feel sorry for the guy! Not only is he losing 100 disney dollars he's also not going to get to do the wieghtless thing he wants.Be a little sympathetic then go in the other room and   :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
