Please, help me plan a SKI TRIP NY,NJ PA area

My dd's soccer team wants to go on a ski trip. I usually end up arranging our trips but I've only gone skiing once and that was when I was 10 One of the families said Belleayer in the catskills - anyone been there. Any other resorts you could recommend? We are looking to go over the New Year's Holiday - crazy I know

Don't want to break the bank on this trip..............

We go every year during pres. week to Montage Mountain. There are very nice hotels at the bottom ot the mountain. You would need a car because it is about a five minute drive. Maybe the hotel has a bus not sure. But there are two hotels there HAmpton Inn and comfort suites. Both have pools and I know hampton Inn has a free breakfast bar. This is a very nice moutain. I just wanted to add We stayed at the comfort suites with a few other families and they let us hung out at night in the room where they serve breakfst right off the lobby. So it gave us a place to hung and play games.

I live in PA and we have done Blue Mt. a few times- it was fun and I finally learned how to ski! The area is not very expensive for lodging.

Stay away from Hunter Mtn - very very busy in the Catskills. Heard Windham is nice - my dd has been snowtubing there several times. Belayre is a hike up Route 28 off the Exit 19 in Kingston NY. Not much around and you have a long drive to get to a city like Kingston. Don't ski so really can't help you there.
