please help me decide on DVC purchase

I haven’t read past the first post but I would buy two contracts:
1. SSR to sleep around d and if you get “stuck” there you will like the 2 bedrooms for the space
2. AKV for the week after Christmas because you probably need 11 month window for that week.

By going straight to the DVC location and not doing online check-in we have always gotten in before 4.

We drop off our stuff with bell services and hang out at the pool or head to a park and usually as we sit down to lunch we get the text that it is ready.
That's possible without young kids. Much harder with little ones who still need to nap.

Like going directly to the front desk instead of online-checkin?

I think our BW GV is at 110 points a night…. 98 for a 1bd….
BW is such a good value in terms of points.

Here is a list of most of the 1 bedrooms. Excluding value or club. It's such a huge difference between the low and the highs!

Yes and even with young kids its possible to find a place like the drawing room over at BCV there is hardly anyone there.

When DS was little we were taking early morning flights so we were going straight to the resort. So far the worst luck as far as getting the room early was at BLT but he was still able to nap in Community Hall. If you have the extra points it certainly will make it easier to arrive after 4 and go right to the room though.

I'm assuming this is for a week in a certain season? We were discussing 1 night earlier.

It's something I'm still debating for next trip. Won't arrive till mid night at the resort. BCV 1 bedroom.

Always addonitis-ing

With DVC checkin time at 4 PM. The first day after MCO Hyatt feels like homeless most of the day tho.
If you need a nap, there's no way to avoid this other than checking in "at home" the night before.

Once you are at a point where you don't need a nap, this gets much easier. We generally don't set an alarm for the next day, and eat breakfast somewhere in the airport. The restaurant in the Hyatt is a semi-decent option; it is not as rapaciously priced as the Typical Hyatt Breakfast.

Then we make our way leisurely to the resort, putting us there late morning-ish or very early afternoon-ish. Quick stop by the front desk, drop bags with bell services, and go as the spirit moves us from there.

ARe you on a budget? if on a budget, then buy SSR or CCV or AKV- CCV is the best long term value. If not on budget, then buy Poly direct. that is probably the best buy right now, and if you want to sell down the road, it should still hold value
If I bought Poly direct first, should I wait for better incentives?

This is why I justified giving into my heart and buying my 2042 Boardwalk.

Oh, really? It is difficult to book an AKL/Kidani 1-bedroom at the seven-month window for the week between Christmas and NYE?

Definatelly looking forward to the day when nap is not required anymore.
