We are 2 adults, mid twenties going to Walt Disney World for our first time. Please give me any experiences you have had, good or bad, with these three restaurants as we are looking to trim one off of our ADR list. We are really looking for a good signature with great food and better atmosphere. We are also dining at :

Jiko
California Grill
Hollywood Brown Derby

Our review and pictures of Artist Point and Citricos are in the Part 2 link below. We absolutely loved both of these restaurants as well as Jiko!

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

We also ate at HBD and CG - those reviews & pics are in the 1st link below. I know the menus change but it should give you a feel for the food.

Haven't eaten at the Yachtman so I can't comment on that.

My rankings of the signatures are: Flying Fish, Citricos, Jiko, Ca Grill, HBBD, Yachtsman, Artist Point, and then Narcoosees. We have eaten at all of these several times, all at least once within the past 16 months.

I think the top 3 have the best food variety. I love the food at FF but it's pretty noisy there. Citricos at Jiko have good food and usually a quieter atmosphere. Service has always been top notch. Ca Grill has very good sushi and a breathtaking view but I've never been overly impressed with the other food options there and it's an incredibly noisy place to dine. HBBD has some outstanding choices and then some very mediocre choices. Yachtsman has good filets but I've been disappointed with every other cut of meat I've had here. I enjoy the appetizers, bread and desserts here though. Artist Point and Narcoosees are at the bottom of the list. AP has good food but the menu is heavy for my taste and the decor there is a turnoff for me. Narcoosees used to be wonderful but we've been very disappointed on every visit for the past 10 years.

No help with YS as I have yet to eat there, but I've been to AP and Citrico's. Love AP and won't go back to Citrico's anytime soon. AP has delicious food, and in contrast the pp who thought the decor was a turnoff, I find the ambience and furnishings to be wonderful--quieter than most signatures and you don't feel stuffed into your table with a lot of nearby diners. I'm not sure I'd qualify salmon, halibut, nor lean buffalo as heavy food, but I will agree they have a couple of dishes that would fit that bill, as does pretty much any other signature eatery on property.

As for Citrico's, I will give it another chance in the future, but the absolute worst meal I've ever had on property occurred there. In short, the service--starting with the front desk and going through the entire service--was snobbish and patronizing. The food that night was poorly cooked, unevenly served (my dish came out 20 mins after the rest of the food at the table), and of average quality--my steak was so full of gristle and fat I only ate half of it. We got coffee before dessert and our cups were never filled again despite our asking for more. As you can see, not a good experience. That being said, there are many more positive reviews of Citrico's than negative and any restaurant can have a bad night. But, you asked for opinions, and mine is just one. ;)

only been to Artist Point of the choices you gave. We really enjoyed it (there is also just 2 of us, mid twenties too) and I think that if you haven't done it before, you definitely should at least once. It is fancier and pricey (was about $100) but the food was soo good. Especially if you eat meat. We had the buffalo steak at that time and the side dishes look so unique but taste very good too. We haven't been back but I am so glad we went when we did.
