Please Help!! Florida Vacation Villas

My mom gave my family a week of timeshare at the Florida Vacation Villas located at 2777 Poinciana dr. We usually go to Disney every year and she is trying to help us save some money. I am a nervous wreck that this place is not going to be very nice. Has anyone ever stayed here? Has this ever happened to anyone else? Do you think I can change the reservation without her knowledge or her RCI membership, just the confirmation that is in my name? I am not trying to sound ungrateful, but to be honest we are use to staying at some nice places, like the Marriott Cypress Harbour, Hard Rock, Dixie, Cornado etc. Any words of wisdom would be great!

If you are used to staying at the other places that you have been (Hard Rock, Marriot), you may be disappointed. It's one of the less expensive timeshares in and around Orlando (It's in Kissimmee) mainly because it's older. I don't know if any rehabs have been done there recently but it may be worth giving them a call and finding out.

Did you check tripadvisor to see if there are any reviews? Even though I don't sometimes agree w/ the reviews there.

I'd possibly make a back-up reservation you can cancel just in case.

We stayed at Florida Vacation Villas Club I. Would you by chance be staying at this one?

Jessiesue...I'm not absolutely sure. I will get the confirmation this coming weekend from my mother. She didn't mention Club 1 but that does look better on the web site.. Is it nicer??

I don't know what the one you listed looks like so I can't compare. If you find out it is club I, l'll be happy to answer your questions.
