Please Help DS (15mo) and Diapers.

Oh yes, we are on baby number 4 and I have always used Pampers...as others have posted they were way better for me then Luvs or Huggies.

I had the same problem with my son. I did two diapers at night. I also found these things called "diaper doublers" - kind of looked like a maxi pad that you slipped into the diaper to soak up the extra fluid. They were hard to find around me (I found online) so I stuck with 2 diapers and limited drinks before bed.

These are what we used when we had this problem. The only place that carried them aroud us was our grocery store, oddly enough. It's a Publix grocery store. They worked great!

Have you tried tucking his "birdie?" (Birdie is our word for *****.... ) We used to have a lot of problems with our DS when he was small. he would always wet the front of his pajamas, so we started tucking his birdie when he slept, meaning we would push it down vs. letting it stand at attention in his diaper. It really helped!

Also, if it's just excessive urine, maybe try putting him on the potty before bed. Sit him there with a book or a toy for a 15-20 minutes before bed and see if he pees a little, that might help too.

Have you had him checked for any medical conditions?

MY 2yr old ds has peed through his diapers since birth. He is just a huge pee'r at night. We do use the Huggies nighttime diapers but because they only go to size 5 and he really wears a 6, they are pretty snug and are part of the leaking problem.

I'm going to see if I can't hunt up some of the pampers diapers that the PP mentioned. Maybe those will help! LOL

But yeah some kids just pee a ton at night and leak through. At DS's worst we'd double diaper him. That's when he was in sz 3 and my other DS was in 5's so I'd wrap the 5's around the 3's and put plastic pants over the whole thing. I was at my wits end with him and while that did work well, it wasn't a long term solution.

try limiting liquids at night. That should help some.

Actually, Huggies Overnights are made in a size 6 now. But the only place you may find them is Walmart.

So I don't really know what to tell you about your concern about if he's peeing too much... BUT I do have a diaper suggestion for you... My daughter is 5 months old and was waking up each morning completely soaked until I discovered Huggies Overnights, they're GREAT! My daughter sleeps about 12 hours a night and hasn't had an issue with these diapers since I got them, she hasn't had a wet bed at all! I got a pack of size 4 (54 in a pkg) for about $20 at Target...

They sell them in a size 3?! I didn't even know that, I can only find them in a size 4! I'm also a tad embarrassed that your 27month old wears a 3 and my 5 month old is in a 3! Gotta love my chunky monkey!

I doubt you pay attention to men's repsonses to this but the rule of thumb in our entire family is Pampers are always the best for boys, luvs/huggies/pampers all seem to work ok for the girls. Both boys would pee out of anything but Pampers.

Yes, they do sell them in size 3, but they're hard to find. I usually buy 2 packages at a time when I do find them. My little guy is on the small side. I guess most 2 yr olds aren't in size 3's anymore. I love "chunky monkey" babies. My middle guy was like that. He had the most squeezable chubby cheeks. Enjoy your little one.
