Please help! ?? about sofabeds!

We have been seriously thinking about purchasing DVC points and I thought we were about ready to "Take the plunge" and all of a sudden, my hubby starts getting all concerned about the sofa beds not being comfortable. My son is only three right now, so I can't exactly ask him how he feels about the idea of sleeping on a sofa bed for all of our vacations! Are they really uncomfortable or are they okay? My son is very big for his age, and I expect he will always be a big guy, so answers about the comfort level from anyone who is not "petite" would be the most helpful! Thanks!

You'll actually want to trade places with your ds and sleep on the sofa, it was that comfortable

Hi: We've been members for a while and have had numerous friends and family members sleep on the sofa beds(age ranges from 7-70+). Not one person ever complained about the comfort.

On our last trip to BWV, I actually found the sofa bed more comfortable than the bed!

Can only comment of OKW and SSR - Both places got comments that the sofa beds were very comfortable from the adults who slept on them. I plan to try out the one at SSR in Sept. just for first hand knowledge.

After our October BWV stay my DSis said to tell people on the Disboards that the new sofa beds are very comfortable!

I'm a big guy and so far in all my stays at BWV , I've gotten the bed ONCE. The couch is comfy , napped in the studio one , and the whole night in the 1 bedroom one. I found the studio one to be more comfy. I don't know if this is actually the case or not .


I'll take the couch any day over the air mattress on the floor at POR !!! ( For 10 days OUCHHH )

At SSR and BCV the sofa bed was as good, if not better than the bed. I had to crawl in a few times with DD2.

I have to say the one at Vero was really bad, took me by surprise since the other 2 were so great. It was an older style and you could not even sit on it and relax when it was open. Sagged really bad. Hopefully these will be update soon as well.

Just got back from BCV. We stayed in Studio #539 and it had the new style sofa sleeper. DD, age 22, said it was "way better" than the old ones.

We just returned from a stay at BCV's (172) and one night we had some guests overnight. They are both adults (retired) and said the sofa bed was very comfortable. It was one of the new, easy to pull out ones.

I slept on an older model at OKW at Christmas time and that one was very UNcomfortable. Can't wait for those to be changed out.

Me too! We stayed at BWV in January in a studio and I crawled into bed with DD4 one night comfort her and ended up sleeping there for the rest of the trip.
