It sounds to me like you may be "renting" points from someone. It's real simple...you pay the person at work, they make the reservation for you, and you get a really good deal on a wonderful resort!! They will have to make the reservation for you, and do all correspondence with Member Services..but, since you know them, it shouldn't be a problem.
Beach Club is REALLY crowded that time of year, so if someone is willing to rent points and get you a reservation, you are really lucky.
Another great thing about renting points is, the whole "no tax" thing, which actually saves you a lot!!
