Please Explain Child Swap

We are going to WDW in December with me, DH, my parents, & my two young children. Us grown ups love Soarin' & we don't want to miss it! My two little ones are too little to ride on Soarin'

How does child swap work?

Can we all get FP's for it at the same time, but DH & I stay behind with the kids first, while my parents ride? Then swap places so DH & I go right on & my parents watch the kids?

You can, however if you do that you don't really need the swap pass as it allows those who waited with the littles to go through the fp line even without a fp. A better strategy would be to book 2 on Soarin and 2 on Test Track a little later and then all the adults can ride both rides.

To answer your original question child swap works like this: everyone approaches the FP line (or the regular line if you don't have fp) and asks the cm at the beginning of the que for a swap pass (they need to see the too small child(ren)) They may give you the paper swap pass here, or they may give a lanyard to be swapped for a swap pass later in the que. then the first riders enter the que while the non-riders go do something else, ride Living With The Land, get a snack, whatever you want. When the first riders are done you meet up and the second set of riders can go. You don't have to use the swap pass right away though. They are usually dated for the end of the month so you can use them whenever it's convenient for you.
