Please explain Avengers campus to me....

I'm confused. Isn't it just a new land at CA Adventure with rides that you walk through? Someone on some random FB article yesterday said people have been lining up really early just to get in. Why line up early when you're admission is guaranteed with a park reservation? I'm even more confused than I was yesterday.

It's a new mini-land at DCA with a ride, counter-service restaurant, shop, and some short shows. When it was brand new and physical distancing was in force, they were limiting access to the land which indeed led to multi-hour waits just to get in. Now that that's no longer an issue, it's been reported that there is no wait to get into the land. But accessing the ride is a bit more complicated, and I'll direct you to other threads about the complete nightmare it is to try and get a "boarding group" for it.

The Superthread is absolutely your best resource, but I’ll try to do a quick run down

- yes, it’s a new land within DCA. It currently has two rides; Web Slingers (new) and Guardians of the Galaxy (old, but now only accessible in the land)

-Web Slingers currently requires a boarding pass to ride. You can get those at 7am & 12pm. Read through the superthread for more info

- up until midweek this past week, with social distancing required, the demand to get into the land was so high, they needed to create a standby line. That standby line did reach hours at times.

- getting in the standby line only allowed you in the campus. It did not let you ride Web Slingers. Conversely, getting a boarding pass for WS does guarantee you entry into the campus, but they are limited and are gone within seconds. So plenty who couldn’t get one.

- as things stand now, demand for WS is still very high. With capacity requirements gone, getting into the campus standby is easy and no longer requires lining up.
