Please explain a "Bounce Back" to me :)

I want to be prepared in case it's offered for an upcoming trip.
Does it mean I will get the same rate as my current trip if I book while I'm still there? HELP break it down for me. What do I need to know...

No, not how it works. There is usually an offer on a card- left in the room when you get there. It is a specific offer-either free dining or a percent off, and there are usually black out dates. You have to book from your room phone before you check out. Need the same deposit as normal. The last few times I have seen it, it was almost the same as the public offer.

If you dont see anything in your room, as mousekeeping about if there is a flyer for a Bounce Back. Also from your room you can call ex.8844 and ask what the current Bounce Back is. We have booked our last 3 trips with a Bounce Back

We went last August and had one in our room, we didn't take it and are kicking ourselves as we wait to see if this August/Sept will have free dining or not!

Anyway I have a question, does anyone know if April is typically blacked out? Our anniversary is April 25, 2013 and Easter that year is March 31, 2013. So we are hoping it won't be blacked out (or have Easter crowds)

We never got a flyer and we even called housekeeping. So we called 8844 and were able to book a deluxe for 35% off for December. If a better deal comes along we will just switch it, but I think it is a good deal for us! We are excited to be at AKL during Christmas time!

We were just in Disney December 11-16. Here is a photo of the bounceback card that was in our room in case anyone needs to see the blackout dates, etc.

The offer was for 35% off of Deluxe resorts but I know that a 30% off of the mods was offered as well as that is what I booked. Not sure about the values as I didn't ask. (*Note from me - Values @ 25% off)

The BB offer prior to the Room Discount BB pictured above was a Free Dining BB. DISer jgraney106 posted this pic of the FD BB they had in their room last year (2011) showing the dates they had to choose from for this year. This FD BB ended last October/November, when the Room Discount BB shown above started:

This is the bounceback that I had in my room:

It runs from 8/17 thru 9/27/2012. Quick service for values and regular dining for the moderates. Be on the look out for this in your room.
Looks like maybe general public will maybe eventually get this . Lets hope!
The lady at the reservations said it was first placed in the rooms on 8/8/2011.

The FD BB usually starts around August and is to be able to book a FD package a year ahead. A lot of DISers like this FD BB mainly because they won't have to watch and worry about getting FD the next year - they'll already have it booked.

No one knows yet if the dates given to last years BB people will be the dates offered to the general public this year or not, but lots of DISers are crossing their fingers.
