Great ideas 2disneywego. My husband thought that nobody would respond to this post never mind agree with me. I wonder what he'll think when I tell him I'm going to clorox wipe the phone when we get to the GF.

I was absolutely amazed at how spotless our room at the Swan was this past year.

Over the years, it's been fair to excellent at the different resorts I've stayed at. I think it probably depends completely on the maid. Especially because one day it will be spotless and the next, just fair.

So, bring your stuff if you feel better.

My dh would agree with you totally. I'm not as bad. The Clorox wipes are good. I always wash the icebucket of course. And my dh puts our toothbrushes in the safe along with any meds we might have.

Had to smile at the post that said toothbrushes in the safe, but not a bad idea. Who knows about the housekeeping service anymore? By the way, you're not crazy Chatty. Just being a cautious Mom. I like the clorox products too. Also going to look for the air freshner you mentioned.

No, you are not crazy!! I've always brought the clorox wipes. Now w/DS (17 months) in tow it is SUPER important to me that everything he touches is clean!

I would never have thought of putting toothbrushes into the safe (thank you to the husband & wife who posted the idea). But now...Just how big ARE these safes...EWWW. The things I've been learning on this site....

Also bring that hand sanitizeer for in the parks after touching all the doors and railings. My DH touches his face,or scratches his eyes a lot and always comes down with something after a WDW trip.

Do you do these things when you go to public places in your hometown? Just wondering, because I do! I carry antibacterial wipes as well as the hand sanitizing gel. My latest cleaning obsession is the handles on the grocery carts. I grabbed one at Walmart one day that felt grimy/sticky, and it made me aware of how many people touch these every day. Since then, every time I go to Walmart I wipe the grocery cart handle with an antibacterial wipe.

My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I take the sanitizing wipes with me every time I take my son to a public men's restroom. Let's face it, we men can be sloppy when it comes to the toilet seat.

I keep a bottle of sanitizer at my office for the toilet seat in case I have to do #2 at work. Like I said, we men can be messy.

Also, I like the Lysol wipes. I believe they are as good as the Clorox wipes, but they are larger. I use both products at home whenever doing any cleaning. Especially when cleaning the kitchen.

I think my dh believes in most urban legends. LOL. I was the carefree, barefoot, walk-in-the-rain, not scared of anything-type before I met my dh. While I still can't think of anything that truly scares me, dh constantly reminds me of reality. I fly like Tinkerbell, he grabs me with his hook. It's so sad nowadays how we have to be extra-careful about everything. My childhood seemed so much more carefree - but my family is everything, and for them I will be extra-careful.

Are there any smaller packages of the wipes and stuff. I'm thinking that I may not want to bring the whole package with me-trying to keep our trip to two suitcases. Of course ow after reading this thread I'll bring them anyway
