Hi - First of all please let me assure all of you that neither my DH nor I use WDW pools. We do not hang out at the pool and we are not pool hoppers. So, thoughts of towels on chairs and people trying to sneak into a pool at a resort in which they are not staying do not raise my blood pressure. But, I would like to share what I just read on page 53 of the Fodor's Wald Disney World for Couples 5th edition published in 2003. Under the description of value resorts is the following sentence, "While recreation means only themed pool areas, all value resort guests are free to use recreation at any other Disney resorts." Now, if I was a person off the street who is staying at the AS or any other resort, my take on this would be that I could swim at any pool I want to since the pool at the AS is described as 'recreation' and my guide book is telling me that I am free to use recreation at any other resort. Since I have read the dreaded pool hopping threads on this board, I would know that staying at the AS and using the YC pool is a big NO NO but do you think that the average reader of this WDW guidebook would also know that pool hopping is not allowed after reading this sentence in the guidebook?
