I thought all of the Bed/Bath/Beyond stores were closed and they were now an online only company? USED to be a good place for home related things, but then they seemed to diversify into too many unrelated areas and lost focus. They kept saying they were going to eliminate those 20% off coupons, but seems it was a like game to most people who only shopped there when that coupon was available.

The BBB brand was purchased by Overstock.com who then opted to rebrand as Beyond Inc. They think the BBB brand is more valuable than Overstock.

Much like ValueJet buying AirTran and rebranding as AirTran to distance themselves from the crash.

They still exist in person internationally…. but online only here in the US. The Container Store under this management will carry some BBB items.

My husband referred to both stores as the "as seen on TV" stores because a lot of stuff was sold through infomercials.

My mother and I used to go to Bed Bath And Beyond sometimes when they would have sales and some of the stuff they had was very neat but I had no idea that The Container Store bought them and I had never even heard of The Container Store. What is The Container Store actually like? It sounds like Bed Bath And Beyond is gonna make a swift comeback due to merging with The Container Store. And what is Kirkland's? Are they like Pier 1 Imports? Because If Kirkland's does rebrand as Bed Bath And Beyond Home will some of the Kirkland's stores close it's locations?

BBB and The Container Store both carry good products, but they were high-priced. I could find the same or similar products elsewhere for a better price.

Never heard of The Container Store until it was mentioned here. Looked around online and there are none near where I live. Most of the things they sell to help organize your garage/pantry/closet seem like one-time purchases. Successful ongoing businesses tend to focus more on products that you continue to buy/consume so you aren't just a one-time customer.
