DISCon doesn't go? Who will still be going and can we just do our own thing then???? I mean it would be nice to have all these dinners and everything pre-arranged for us (not that there is a ton of them already arranged) but what if??????

I am just as hopeful as everyone else that we won't need to approach this whatif.....

Now, I may end up at the All Stars but I'm still going NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking exactly the same thing, Chris. DISCON or no DISCON, I will still be at WDW from November 29th through December 11th. I've been "not taking vacation time" all year in anticipation of this trip.

I'm there regardless.

I was wondering 2 things.
1) What is the minimum for planning Illuminations anyway and what would the cost be per person
2) It seems to me that Glo did a reception at the Swolphin for a cheerleader meet, and I would wonder how much it would cost us to do the same thing (and maybe a breakfast).

If we have a hundred, it would seem to me we could just scale things down a bit...

Karen

I will be there from Nov 30th until Dec 10th no matter what.

We will still be there between Nov 24 and Dec 14 and am opening for anything.

Thanks for being the brave one Dec99.....I was wondering the same thing....I'm pretty sure Zurg and I would go to do the mini meet stuff any how....I'm sure we could pull it off to be quite a shindig.....

I also wondered about an Illuminations only dessert thing...how much for just that event and would others come and pay if it was only one event....I would guess yes....

I'm with you, Chris! I'm there NO MATTER WHAT! ;) :D :D
Karen, those of good ideas-gives us some things to think about. :)
The main thing is that we're all together and that's what we will be.

Dessert parties minimum is 20 persons...I've attended one that was in the area just behind and to the right of Rose and Crown. I think the price was $26 pp, or something close to that.

Thanks for being the brave one, Chris...I almost posted this same question last night :o

I am going either way....

Okay..so those of us that have airfare are still going. I will need this vacation terribly badly so that's why I'm still going to go...and plus, why would I want to miss out on getting to meet you all that are also still going to go!!!!!

I'm standing ready and willing to do whatever I need to do should the need arise....let's hope it doesn't but I'm ready!!!!

There is someone over on the DVC board who is looking at doing the Illuminations Desert Party in January for a group. He posted the rates last night. I "think" that it turned out to be about $25 a person with around 70 people.

If DISCON does NOT come off I would be willing to organize this if Cathy can transfer our reservation.

I'm going regardless (and I'm driving to/from WDW). And I'm with Chris. I need this vacation too.

I have all my ressies made, I'm half-packed, and I have my non-refundable MVMCP ticket. I'M THERE! :bounce:

Chris, I'm still planning on going at that time no matter what. I need this vacation very badly and since everything is booked and all tickets are ordered (for parks & air) I will be there unless something terrible happens and I can't make it for reasons beyond my control :)

Chris, I'm going to be there from late Saturday afternoon, November 30, 2002 until December 17, 2002.

I also plan on attending all DIS mini-meets that have been planned so far.

And I'm going to have my list of names so that I can meet every single one of you, whether you are signed up for DIS-CON-II or just plan to visit the DIS mini-meets...lol.

I was rereading Pete's post on date and participant requirements, and I just posted him a question.

I lost part of my thread again when trying to update it...I'm working on it and it will be up by the end of the week...lol.

We are going to be there. We have MVMCP tickets and paid Pat for the Hoop Dee Doo(I hope this still goes). We have non refundable tickets and have our room ressies through DVC and have also set uo ou Candlelight Proocessional. If DISCon does not come off we will be willing to do meets anyway.

What is all this talk about DIS CON not going off?

Is the Rose & Crown going into rehab?

LOL

You guys are stuck with me....I'm going regardless !!!:)

Got my plane tickets...got my room ressie...got my MVMCP ticket...
got my charge card....got my cash....all I need is to pack my bags!

In other words.... I am there
Dec.1-11 no matter what...and I know it will be a blast either way!!!!!
