Like they say "desperate measures for desperate people"...maybe she is in desperate need for money and this was the WAY to go about it....granted ILLEGALLY...but keep in mind the word...

DESPERATE!!!

Not necessarily. She could be doing it for sport..

Has anyone alerted Ebay? I believe there is a way to report people. If enough people complained they can do something about it. I had to do it for someone who wasnt mailing stuff after it had been won. I found peoples complaints, emailed them and we contacted Ebay. They took care of her as far as I know. Maybe you could copy some of her posts and pass them along as "evidence".

I would be too ashamed of myself after getting busted that I would cancel all the ebay auctions and returned everything to the rightful owners.

But you are a decent person! She is not and it's highly doubtful that she has much if any guilt over it. The only real hope is the "what goes around, comes around" saying. She should be scared--not because anyone here is going to do anything to her, but that she will sometime get her "just dessert" either via karma or because she'll piss off the wrong person. :sad2:

C'mom, say with the program... ;)

The "friend" is pregnant with triplets and her husband left her

The "sister" is pregnant with twins (not sure about that husband)!

We need cliff notes, I do believe! :rotfl2:

This is so pathetic that someone would stoop to this level.

I have a great idea, maybe we can start a exchange for people who want to send people stuff to sell on ebay, we can see whose stuff make the most cash!

I am feeling so much better and I have actually laughed at some of the posts.

Once a gift is given, it is normally the receiver's to do with as they wish unless an agreement to the contrary exists. However, if that gift were received as a result of false pretenses, then the gift isn't the receiver's at all. Of course it goes without saying that it would be up to the courts ultimately as to whether false pretenses were used.

So the exact items that I sent you just happen to be the exact items that are in your ebay store. Right down to the minnie outfit with the wrong piglet hat and the same pooh outfit, the bibs and J&D's outfit. please

and I never threated you or your family. I told you that if i didnt get my items back I would contact the news and ebay.

Get over it you got caught!

Even if you are absolutely correct about all of this...and perhaps you are, I really have no idea...I don't understand why you are making such a HUGE deal out of it. If you give someone an item and they re-sell it on eBay, that's not the end of the world. If you feel she has defrauded you (legally), then by all means file a claim against her. Post the information on the boards to forewarn others, or whatever. But IMO you are WAY overreacting. Just don't give her anything else, don't give to anyone at all from now on if you don't want to, but like I said, IMO you are WAY overreacting by threatening to call the news. :confused3 JMO.

WOW! I went back to read the other posts. I can't believe someone would take advantage of the kind hearted people here on the Dis Boards!! Shame on you!! :guilty:

This is an extremely sad case, IMHO. As another poster mentioned, she went to a great deal of trouble to do this. Of course it is not right and I certainly feel for those taken advantage of, but I also wonder what would make her do such a thing.

If she is desperate for money, then I pity her and hope things improve for her so she never has to do such a thing again. If she is just greedy, then I also pity her because it will come back to her in the end.

I wanted to add that I totally agree what she is doing (again, I don't know the details) is VERY wrong, and I am glad you are warning others. I just don't understand how a few baby items warrants calling the news! Yes, it's horrible (if true), and you should definitely warn others. I have been burned by people I've tried to help in the past, as well. I never thought about calling the news or reporting them to eBay for selling things I gave them, that's all. I was just more careful after that. JMO.

I am making a huge deal about it because I am not the only one who got scammed by her. She got 3 of us on the disney/toddler baby exchange, a bunch of people on the my friend is having triplets and she has nothing thread, She emailed someone about starbucks coupons for her pregnant sister and those are in her ebay store now. she apparently also recently asked for mugs for her daughter's collection that are on her ebay store as well. She is using the dis board as her own personal free stash so she can sell them on ebay. She lied to many people and its called FRAUD, thats why I am making a huge deal about.

NOW, If I have this straight...TIGGER1 sent TIGGER113 "baby items" as a result of a THREAD that TIGGER113 started on the CB "looking for any or all baby items..new or used..for a dear friend of Tigger113's, whose husband has left her...left her with very little money and would anyone please help!!!

Well, TIGGER1 sends her some lovely baby items and next thing TIGGER1 realizes is these exact items she sent to TIGGER113 are all of a sudden LISTED on TIGGER113's EBAY STORE!!!!

We are wondering what happened to the pregnant friend expecting not ONE, not TWO but THREE BABIES!!!! :confused3

NOT GOOD!!!! :sad2:

Tigger1: Did I get this all correct???

YES, I find it wrong. See my other posts for details.
I just don't think her reaction is proportionate to the crime, here. If she feels she was defrauded, she can tell others about it and file in small claims court. I don't see how calling the news is a reasonable response/threat. If others disagree, fine! I am allowed to put in my 2 cents, same as everyone else! :wizard:
