Please, dont allow your young children to push strollers

Not angry at all but just telling the truth from both sides.
The truth hurts I know but simply denying it is not going to help those that really deserve it.
And those of us that really deserve a GAC don"t complain but count there blessings and the "non valeurs "are just making a stink about getting FOTL. :rotfl2:

Not the slightest idea where or why you keep bringing up FOTL, nor how it relates in ANY way to young children pushing strollers in crowds :confused3 But okay... whatever.

Well maybe you should think about those that are not from the US and not learned " English" as their mother language. You know those damn xxxxx foreigners that bring money into the US. We put a lot of sweat learning English but tell me how many of you try to learn Polish,German, French, Danish or Italian when you are visiting an European country? :confused3
But again thank you for calling me a spoiled brat. :rotfl2:
Boy do I wish to feel like a young brat again.

and yet another bluff called. lived in Japan for three years. and yes I DID try and learn the language. and when I visit a foreign country I at least bother to learn a few basics.. please, thank you, where's the loo, and of course the most important.. how to order beer ( or sake)

gotta wonder why you seem to have such antipathy towards anyone with a disability.. your blanket statements about MaW recipients milking the system and other comments that basically deride anyone who has even the slightest need for assistance.

who are you to determine what is or is not 'normal' and what constitutes equal access anyway?

Having spent a good deal of time in Paris and having worked for a French company for many years, I can say that Disneyadore's attitude is very typical of the French. The French are typically the first to be critical and the first to ask for help when something goes wrong (as history has proved time and time again). Pretty sad. But hey, at least they can crush a decent grape on occasion.

not anymore. the fields are worn out and the vines are dying.

CA has taken over as the premiere produce of French grapes now.. and in many cases places like Argentina and Chile can produce a BETTER wine than any snooty French chateau.

But this isn't 'a perfect world'.

This is a 'me first' world, and if you get in my way or can't get out of my way fast enough... oh, well... oops! :lmao:

It's the statements criticizing MAW families that is the most over the top, and I think this poster is well aware of that. Now, the question becomes what kind of person gets their kicks bashing kids (and their families) dying of cancer or some other terminal disease?

Sigh. Sadly, you are probably right. I resisted as long as I could, then got sucked into the vortex, like suds circling the drain.
This particular poster brings up the same arguments each time that someone mentions ECVs, wheelchairs or treatment of people with disabilities.
I am not posting with any hope of changing her mind - it is closed.

I am posting for the benefit of other readers who don’t know know what the real facts are.

To get back to the subject of strollers:

I think most of the time it happens because people don’t think about the consequences. They do it because it ‘solves’ a problem they are having at the time.

Some of the times that I have seen children pushing strollers, it is an empty stroller. In those cases, the child may be tired of sitting in the stroller. Letting the child push the stroller is one ‘solution’ that lets the child walk, keeps the child busy and where the parent can see the child.
I don’t think the parent intends to cause any problems. They just are trying to solve the problems they see.

Other times, I have seen an older child pushing the stroller with a younger child in it. That solves the ‘problem’ of the older child maybe being bored and wanting something to do and the problem that the parents are tired of pushing the stroller.
Again, I don’t think they intend or think that will cause any problems. They are just trying to do something that solves the problem they see.

Everyone needs to be aware of other guests at WDW. Whether walking, pushing a stroller, using a wheelchair or ECV, everyone could potentially cause a problem or get in the way for someone else.
So, we all need to watch and be aware of other guests.

And you have never been stuck behind someone with a stroller? I fail to see how you are holding both ECV users and stroller users to the same standard by this example.

on the contrary I have been stuck behind those blasted double wide ones that practically need a DL to operate. they are damn bulky and I have no idea howinhell they can actually BE steered when loaded down with kids and bags and spare jackets and bags of mickey ears.

my wheelchair is more maneuverable I swear.

Sue: I'm not sure if you were talking about me or to me when you quoted my last post. If you were talking to me, then I totally agree and understand. If you were talking about me, then I apologize but am confused, since I thought we were on the same side of this unfortunate argument.

Minnie mum - Sue was talking TO you :)
kaytieeldr is correct.
I was talking TO posters like you, not about you.
In the case of quoting you in my last post, I am agreeing with you and the ‘this poster’ I mentioned is the same you were remarking about.

Texas is coming on strong too. I love many Texas wines. :)

This thread has meandered all over the place. Now it's wine? To stay on topic, which restaurants in WDW has the best wine and where did it come from? :rotfl:

Well if my husband hadn't pull me aside I would have been shipped back to Europe in a coffin.

So no heating up but just telling the truth.
O and would you tell me please why I should give up me place after waiting an hour for the parade at MK for an ECV that just keeps hitting my behind because he/ she thinks they "deserves" a place upfront?
Again its all about ME, ME, ME. I'm in a EVC and you're just a second hand paying costumer.

average speed of an ECV is 6 yes six MPH, if you really believe that would put you in a coffin, going by car must terrify you.

Well maybe you should look at the other Disney parks that use a prove of needing an ECV.
The percentage of EVC users is only 1 yes ONE % instead of the numerous percentages in the US. Being lazy and being obesed is not accept as being entitled to get a GAC.

What? this makes no sense, clarification needed

I've seen threads closed for no apparent reason what-so-ever. And this one is still going? Is there a scratching my head smilie???

or how about this...

Probably - not Boma, the sit-down restaurant in Animal Kingdom Lodge. Naturally I'm drawing a blank on the name :(. My favorite wine overall is the Rosa Regale in the little wine shop in Italy. But it's a sweetish sparkling dessert wine, superb with dark chocolate (or chilled, straight from the bottle :rotfl2: )

Get cancer and still try to live a normal life and than see how the GAC is misused only to get FOTL access. I needed a WC due to cancer and yes it was wonderful to never have to wait and go in front of all those other paying suckers :lmao:

Sorry, but your just making a fool of yourself now, why not quit.

Try not to let that poster bother you. He/she is clearly a 15 year old kid. You can tell by the "just for shock value" statements coming out of their mouth. Hopefully the kid's mother will notice them writing this crap and ground them from their video games or whatever.;)

Spelling gives it away;)

Don't agree. They aren't that fast. My medium size ecv's top speed is 5.25 mph. Other medium size ecvs are also in that range. At WDW when I am with my family, I have my speed down to about 1/3 and that usually keeps pace with the walkers. The smaller ecvs' top speeds are in the 4-4.5 mph range. Check out ecv specs on spinlife.com. I think Disney's ecv rentals are half that speed. They are turtle-slow.
