First the background. I have been to Disney every year since 1998 and I understand the whole ADR process. I have never had the DDP before and now we have Free Dining! Woohoo! So, I need help. I don't know whether to try new places or stick with the ones we like. We always eat at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, PSB in Norway and sometimes Mexico (though not in several years). Now that I have free food, I want to try Canada, 50's Prime Time, LTT and Whispering Canyon but that is too many for my 7 table credits if you add in our usuals. And then there is the question of dinner at CRT. I have done the breakfast before and did not like the food or service at all. Dinner is a question for me and I don't know if it is worth the 2 credits but this may be the only way I ever try it... so??? What do you all suggest I do? My 90 mark is in a week.

Thanks in advance!

CRT was a big disappointment for us. We went for dinner and the food wasn't very good at all. DH had prime rib which was more fat than meat and my chicken was ok but a bit dry. The characters didn't really bother with us as we had no kids but this has never been a problem anywhere else. Not worth 2 credits IMO.

Le Cellier is one of the best 1 credit places in the world, but get your ressie in early! WCC is good but can be noisy and busy, they do a very good all-you-can-eat skillet and the milkshakes are great.

I would look at the menus for your places and decide from there, we have our favourites then try a few new places each time. Our new places for this year are Tokyo Dining, Mama Melrose and The Wave.

I would agree that CRT isn't worth the 2 credits unless you have kids who want to eat in the palace with Princesses...otherwise the food there is just par.

Try new restaurants but I don' think its worth 2 credit for CRT...If you haven't tried CRT then I would say yes do it b/c of the experience but you have eaten there for breakfast and I would rather go to Le Cellier and 50's Prime Time Cafe. I liked LLT when they had the character dinner meal but since they don't have character meal....I would try LLT for lunch b/c they have more selection with the food.
Enjoy your upcoming trip.

We've never done CRT so I can't comment on that. Personally, we did not care for WCC at all (if you are going to try it, I would suggest breakfast as I hear the food is good there; we hated the dinner food and DH got sick on it). I would keep Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys; I would try to add LeCellier, LTT (for lunch) and Prime Time (although we like Sci Fi better).

I agree, I don't CRT is worth 2 credits. The food is OK but the character interaction is very limited and I think the food is too fruufy for the little kids that they market to. Just seems like a waste to me. WE have only had breakfast at WCC and enjoyed it. We like Tony's at Mk even though it is not a character meal. We did breakfast a few years ago at CP and I don't really remember being that impressed but I am a huge Eeyore fan so it was a guaranteed photo op for us. We also like Liberty Tree Tavern, Hoop De Doo, Ohana's, PTC and Chef Mickey's. WE have also gone to the Luau and were only marginally impressed and decided to stick with HDD. This trip we are going to focus on dining at resorts. Have a great trip!

Thank so much! Due to all of your suggestions, we will be going with LTT lunch, Plaza dinner, 50's lunch, Canada dinner (fingers crossed), Chef Mickey, CP and PSB. Can't wait!

Sounds like a great line-up. Try to get an 8:05 a.m. for breakfast at CP--that way you'll have Main Street basically to yourself and will get some great photos. pixiedust: that you get all your requests.
