Please compare BTTF and simpsons

Is the Simpsons ride bad for motion sickness? I couldn't ride BTTF without getting sick (only rode it once and that was enough for me). I really want to try the Simpsons ride, but won't be able to do it if it makes me sick like BTTF.

Depends on what makes you sick... I don't believe its as jerky as ppl say BTTF was near the end. But there is a lot of motion on the ride and even a point where it feels like you spin all the way around even though you don't. So most likely it wont be your thing.

I wish I could agree but DH can ride Spiderman no problem, but got sick on Simpsons. He also used to get sick on BTTF, as well as Star Tours and Body Wars.

I've ridden BTTF once in Hollywood and vowed never again. That ride and Star Tours and Jimmy Neutron do give me motion sickness. But I have done Simpsons ride 4 times now, and did not get that way. That being said, the cars do provide a lot of intense motion, but the humor and the animation tempers it a bit.

I'm guessing that if BUS rides make you car sick then the simpsons might. It's VERY slooth compared to BTTF or even Jimmy Neutron. (I DON'T get sick on anything and vowed not to ride Jimmy Neutron again. It's ROUGH! (But it wasn't my stomach that had issues, but the back, tailbone and the (ahem)....*girls*. .And I'm an IBTC member. Sorry, maybe it was TMI....but better to go in kowing! LOL!)

Baaaaack on topic........ Simpsons is great. But if you do get that bus/boat type motion sickness it might get ya. Our first ride we walked in and there was a puddle on the floor. They evacuated the room to clean it when we told them. There was a lady and her daughter who rode with our family. The mom hurled in the bushes down the exit ramp. Every other time we rode, no mishaps. We were on the bottom row those times if that helps any. Top row was WAY less immersive.

I find Simpson's to be a bit less intense that BTTF but if you are over 6' 4" then good luck finding a comfortable seat. I have riddne back and front and that was enough for me. I can ride everything else in the park but that car is just to uncomfortable for me

I agree. I am also 6'4" and the person working the ride told the entire group that everyone over 6' had to sit in a specific area of the car....most of the group riding with me did not speak English and didn't understand. I ended up getting crammed in.

As for the initial question posed, I think the Simpsons ride is comparable to the BTTF ride. I really enjoyed both of them, but I also can be prone to (very manageable) motion sickness. I got a little bit of a headache on both rides but I don't remember one being worse than the other.

One of the great things about the simpsons ride is the excellently themed que - if you are reading this and haven't rode yet, you'll REALLY enjoy it. They did a great job on this one.

Same here and that's why I stopped riding BTTF. I have ridden The Simpsons before and since they use the same vehicle, I have the same problem.

We rode it three times last vacation. I could not ride BTTF without being sick for the entire day.

However, I found that I tolerated it much, much better in the front than the back.

Also, I always take motion sickness medicine before heading out.

I always take some motion sickness stuff....I have to. Otherwise, it would be a bad scene for me at any theme park. However, even with that, BTTF still made me sick for a long time. I really want to try the Simpsons ride, but don't want to risk it if it makes me that sick. I could double dose it (I usually take the minimal dosage) and hopefully it will help. It looks and sounds so fun...If it makes me sick, the hotel is right there, and I could always go lay down for awhile while the boys continue in the parks.

My wife used to get sick on BTTF and she says the Simpsons gets her a little nauseous but it does not bother her. She also takes Bonine Motion Sickness Protection and it makes it better. She said she closes her eyes durring some parts. Now, I can ride anything over and over without any problems.
