Please clarify transfer option for me...

Hello. In planning for next year's trips, it looks like we are going to be 3 points shy of having what we need to book our Hilton Head November 2005 trip at the 11-month window. That's considering borrowing 2006 points. What this means is we will have to book what we can at 11 months and then wait until 7 months to book the last night.

I posted on the rent/trade board hoping for a transfer option for those three HH points. Another nice member responded but indicates that she is unable to transfer "out" of her account this year because she has already accepted and "in" transfer.

How does that work?

You can only transfer points in one direction per year. The other member apparently already received points into her account so she can't transfer any points out of her account until next year.

I'm not sure if the "year" is use year or calendar year. Maybe someone else knows that.

You should have 2 options:
1) Try to find someone to transfer points to you that are Jun-2004, Aug-2004, Sep-2004, or Oct-2004 Use Year. Then once the points are in your account, bank them so they can be used for your trip in Nov 2005. Make sure to have the person doing the transfer let MS know that this is your plan. I don't know what UY you have, but MS will need to pick the right UY to put the points into, in order to be banked and useable for Nov '05.
2) Try to find someone to transfer points to you that are Dec-2004, Feb-2005, Mar-2005, Apr-2005, Jun-2005, Aug-2005, Sep-2005, or Oct-2005 Use Year. Again, make sure MS knows you plan to use them for a Nov '05 trip.
